Signature Dishes
Cupcakes are something which are definitely becoming more popular nowadays. I'm sure many people would have heard of the famous 'Twelve Cupcakes' which have many outlets island wide and have even expanded to other countries. Their cupcakes came in assorted flavours and some even have alcohol in it in case you want something different. Appearance wise, the cupcakes definitely look appealing and stunning! Each cupcake is priced at $3, hence i decided to buy 6. The flavours are namely dark chocolate, caramel, red velvet, cookies and cream and butterscotch. Personally, the dark chocolate is my favourite as i love chocolate! Overall for all cupcakes, the base of the cupcake was quite nice and soft however it would have been better if it was not very dry. The cream was quite nice especially for the red velvet and chocolate! Definitely worth a try!

My friends celebrated my birthday only two entire months after my birthday - oh, everyone's always so busy in this day and age! They bought me a cupcake based on what they think I would like, and I can say that they know me quite well They bought me the Strawberry Chocolate cake from Twelve Cupcakes.I liked it a lot, not just because they bought it for me This cupcake packs a fusion of flavours: strawberry and chocolate in one! The strawberry cream part tasted very fresh and real, not like strawberry flavouring but real strawberry. I can even taste the graininess of the fruit itself! The chocolate part of the cake is moist and easy to swallow. Some chocolate cakes make the mistake of being dry and choking, but this has none of it. Thumbs up for this flavour. I tried the Red Velvet one before and it wasn't as good as this one. This is a much better choice! If you've got to buy one, choose the Strawberry Chocolate flavour. (Y)

My girlfriend bought me a little surprise from twelve cupcakes. Apparently they have opened a branch at ion as well. They are seriously expanding. She bought me the Nutella flavours cupcake. It was a Today's Special. For Today's Special cupcakes, you have to pay an additional 50 cents more. So one cupcake cost $3.50. But it was worth every cent. The cupcake was really good. The Nutella fragrance was really strong yet it did not overpower the cupcake taste. Their cupcake despite putting in fridge does not dry up. Good to see more and more shops sprouting up!

My colleagues bought me cupcakes at 12 Cupcakes as a belated birthday gift. They gave me the Red Velvet cupcake Cookies and Cream, and the cupcake of the day-- Strawberry Champagne. My oh my, their cupcakes were so moist which only say that these are really baked fresh daily. Even with the thick icing on top, the cupcakes weren't so sweet. It was just the right amount of sugar. =D My favourite out of the three is their Red Velvet!Can't wait to try their other flavours!!

Tried 3 cupcakes from 12 cupcakes at Ion. Was quite happy to see them there because people have been raving about these sweet treats and now they are finally in a more convenient location to get! On the left is the Espresso cupcake. It's fragrant and smells strongly of coffee but frankly, the cream taste like those cheap coffee cakes from Hans. The one on the right is the Rainbow Vanilla. It's cream cheese with vanilla so I like the taste of that cheese on the dense cupcake but it is a tad on the sweet 'gelat' side. The cupcake behind is the Peanut butter chocolate cupcake. This one is delicious as the peanut butter adds a nice moistness to the cake and taste lovely.
