Love eating Hokkien Mee, friend has recommend to try this stall.Service: Self Service. Even I sit infront of the stall, the auntie still will not delivery the Hokkien Mee even during non peak hours while waiting for them to fry.Hokkien Mee: First impression looks yummy. Ingredient is not much only prawn no other seafoods. Abit expensive for the price of that. Taste of the noodle is good.I like that they have those banana leaf for take away. Conclusion: yes I will go n eat.  continue reading

The hokkien noodle stall at Changi Village did not have too many people queuing so i decided to give it a try. Ordered a small plate of hokkien noodle. The size is pretty ok, with a few pieces of pork and prawns and sotong with it. The chilla sauce is a little watery and not thick enough. The noodle is not too oily which is good. Normal and not entirely fantastic in my opinion. continue reading

Wanted to try this Hokkien Mee stall yesterday but the queue was very long. Today since there isn't any queue, I went ahead to buy a packet for lunch. I was quite hungry, so I bought the $4 pack Taste is good. Gravy has the taste of prawn & it's quite wet. Chili also blends well & not too spicy, but sadly, it only comes with 2 small + 1 tiny prawn & few slices of pork & some egg. Can't find a single squid! continue reading

I wanted to have some fried hokkien noodles that day, so I decided to try Changi Village Fried Hokkien Mee as there were a few customers at the stall. There was no queue though, and food was prepared immediately upon ordering. The hokkien noodles looks good, but was not very delicious, I have tried better ones at old airport road hawker. Only 2 prawns and tiny pieces of squid and meat were given, and the sauce is not flavourful or tasty (unlike some other stalls which use real prawn soup to cook the gravy). Average hokkien mee. continue reading

This is a stall that gives fast service. The boss seems to be busy all the time cooking. Whenever a customer goes up and placed order, he will whip up a plate of hot piping plate of hokkien mee. The price comes in 3s, $3, $4 and $5. We ordered the $4 for sharing. The portion is just nice for both of us, I should say that the noodle with thick bee hoon taste ok except for the gravy. I prefer the very wet type, for this I could taste the prawn from the gravy. The chilli that comes with the dish mixes well and not too spicy. continue reading
