Signature Dishes
I walked over to get some fast food as I was craving for it like a pregnant lady. Ordered the set which includes 2 pieces of chicken and 3 pieces of shrimp with crispy fries and a regular drink ($7.00). Had I known of the inflation of the fast food, I wouldn't have stepped into the place! For the same price, I could've eaten something more nutritious! Nevertheless, my craving was "cured". I like the batter of Long john silver as it's really crunchy, but the meat size seems to have shrunk since the last time I came. Economy must've hit hard! The shrimp was also a disappointment as it wasn't juicy or anything. Fries were one of the saving point for me as it was still crispy when I ate it after awhile!

This is the 2 pcs chicken and 3 pcs shrimp ($7.00) with crispy fries and a regular drink. The batter was definitely crunchy and I think Long John Silver's is still known for that. However, the size of the chicken has definitely gone down over the years. They have cut down the size of the chicken and added more crunchy flakes but that is not a good trade up. The chicken was dry but it was still soft. Got the Cheesy Fries and Chips Combo ($3.50) with one regular drink. 'Natural Cut' Skin-On Potato Chips as a "side". I like the feel of the potato chips as it was slightly harder than lays potato chips and it was very crunchy! The cheese dip was a good complement to the chips. It's like a nachos and cheese combo that you can get at the cinema.

Lunch with ex-colleague at Lot1. We were so hungry we ordered 3 sets of meal for just 2 of usBoth us us had 2 Piece of Fish and Fries - Fish is soft & is not overly fried. Does not have the fishy smell also. Tartar sauce is available in separate sachet upon request. Battered fries was crispy & it doesn't turns too soggy when left aside for too long. 8 piece Shrimp & Fries with battered fries for sharing. Shrimps were crunchy as well.

In my long experience eating from Long John Silver's, i do not recall them having any burgers. mostly is sandwiches for their breakfast. so when they introduced their Silver's Fish Supreme. I know i had to try it at least once in case it does not become a fixed addition to the menu. Actually the fish they used is their normal fried fish fillet. What i like about the burger is the bread. the bread is very light and fluffy yet it is very filling. the sauce that they added to the burger is really unique too. as a whole i thought this new introduction is pretty good.

I went to Long John's Silver with my girlfriend, currently they are having a coupon promotion, it is a two person set meal for only $10. there were two choices to choose from, one is their Silver's Fish Supreme + Grilled Cajun Chicken and the other option is Silver's Fish Supreme + 2 piece chicken. We opted for the first choice. Since i tried the Silver's Fish Supreme before, i let my girlfriend have that and took the Grilled Cajun Chicken. I must say their Cajun Chicken is indeed delicious. the whole piece of meat is just so tasty, it was a little oily but the meat was also juicy and tender too. As a whole i thought the meal combo was pretty worth it.
