definitely better than the neighbourhood cake shops. love that it has no cream and only has jam! so you can eat more without being sick of it. it's sweet enough. very soft and nicely coloured. has a sugar powder dusting on top. lovely size. very fresh and has no rancid taste. recommended for kids or adults who like sugar rolls. would be better if they had more flavours. costs about $2. not sure why openrice has a picture of a carpark in the photo collection for this store? not delighted with the service here - rather rude. continue reading

This sliced chocolate cake looks simple and also taste quite simple and not much x-factor too. The chocolate sponge cake is quite soft and moist but I should say the chocolate flavour is not really that strong and also not too fragrant too. The chocolate rice chips also does not make any much different to its taste as well. Quite thin layer of vanilla cream is spread in it which is also abit too sweet. May not to my liking. continue reading

Decided to buy their cakes for breakfast. First time trying their Durian Roll, it was so good. The roll was super soft in texture and melt in your mouth. The spread was just nice, not too thin nor too thick. The durian taste was so rich and is like eating a durian. Other than that, it was not too sweet and have the strong smell of durian flavor. Overall, the roll was so good. continue reading

For my classmate's 19th birthday, we bought her a Strawberry Shortcake from Polar.I'm usually not a fan of creamy cakes but amazingly, this was really good and to my liking. The strawberries are really plump and juicy and the cream is sweet but not too overpowering. The spongey layers help to create a good balance between the sweetness of the cream and the strawberries.Definitely worth a try! continue reading
