So, one of my favourite fast food chain has just released a new burger and potato snack! For a fast food outlet, this branch was quite nicely decorated and warmly lit which made it quite an inviting place to dine and chat in. We went for a weekday dinner and the place was crowded, but the noise level was tolerable, which made it an ideal place to have a meal and chill with friends. We placed our orders at the counter and we were lucky to be served by a bubbly staff who was friendly and upbeat despite the late hour and dinnertime crowd, although we had to wait quite a while for the food to be prepared and delivered to our table.Red Grilled Chicken Set without Cheese ($7.70) The Red Grilled Chicken Set without cheese costs $7.70 while the Red Grilled Chicken Set with cheese costs $8.00. The set comes with fries and a soft drink. If you get just the burger only, it will cost $4.00 without cheese and $4.30 with cheese. I got the set without cheese for myself. The grilled chicken was quite juicy while the red tomato sauce was tangy, but I didn't find the sauce to be sufficient enough for the meat so the burger ended up tasting a little bland. Don't hold me to my word, but I suspected that the burger with cheese might be slightly more flavourful. I supposed it was really my fault for omitting the cheese as I wanted a "healthier option" especially since this burger was supposed to come "without an abundance of calories" (so they say) but what the heck, nobody eats burgers to be healthy. Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on your appetite), Mos Burger's burgers tend to be smaller in portion compared to the burgers at American fast food outlets like McDonalds, so the portion of the burger was just nice for me, but people with a voracious appetite might find it a tad lacking in size and not very filling. Prosperity Coin ($1.00) The usual price was $1.50 but if you get this with the Red Grilled Chicken Set, then it cost only $1.00 for 3 pieces. This was basically hash brown in the shape of a small round coin. This tasted like what a normal hash brown tasted like. It was quite crispy on the outside and was also quite aromatic from the oil used to fry it.Overall, I think the Red Grilled Chicken Burger would be quite decent especially if there was more red tomato sauce to go with the meat. But if you ask me, this wasn't something that I'd make a return trip to Mos Burger for. I personally still preferred their Chicken Burger or Tsukune Rice Burger. While we both agreed that the Prosperity Coin was nice, when it comes to Mos Burger however, I'd rather get their Potato Croquette instead. But, that's just me. So, 3 stars for taste for the Red Grilled Chicken Burger, and 5 stars for the rest of my favourite food from Mos Burger as listed under "Recommended Dish(es)" below! continue reading

Recently, MOS Burger launched a new burger, Grilled Salmon Rice Burger. I am not sure if this was launched in conjunction with McD’s Ebi Burger (since they are both seafood). Anyway the Grilled Salmon Rice burger came with mushroom butter-soy sauce and shimeji mushrooms. I find the butter-soy sauce to be funky. I rather it be soy sauce because I find the butter a bit off-putting.The mushroom soup ($2.50) is very nice. It was served warm and after adding pepper, it becomes a nice peppery soup which gets more spicy as you drink (maybe cause the pepper go down to the bottom). The fries were a little over deep fried because the fries were rather hard on the outside. But since it is chunky fries, it was still fluffy in the core, so thank goodness.I love the milk tea served at Mos’s. You cannot really compare the taste to the ones from bubble tea shops cause it’s different. The ambience is quite nice, with some cute owl and dog decorations. It is also more spacious, having adopted an open concept. continue reading

Bought a spicy beef burger set meal for lunch. The spicy beef burger includes beef patty, pickles, chopped onion, thick layer of tomato topped with spicy sauce. The beef patty was well made and marinated, soft and tender texture. The spicy sauce goes well with the patty together with the burger and is not too spicy. As for the potato original croquette, it has a very crispy texture, soft potato fillings with some mixed vegetables. The fries was slightly thicker than normal fries, soft and slight crispy texture and is seasoned with salt. continue reading

MOS is the all-tome fave for my secondary sch days because of the MILK TEA!Til now, nowhere even goes near MOS milk tea(S$2.45).This is a MUST try whenever you are at any MOS outlet and also ask for extra milk. Usually they will give two cup-lets but I will ask for 4!You can actually taste the tea but its the milk aftertaste that makes you rem the taste and wanna go for more.Another of my fave is the ebi chicken rice burger(S$3.70). The rice burger is soft and sticky and you can see the steam when served hot. The fish is served with a special sauce which will make me rem the taste. You can also try their other rice burgers. However, goes there when you are not hungry because their burgers are usually small. continue reading
