I just eat the Ajisen Tempura Curry Rice at Tiong Bahru Plaza. I was worried the prawn will be very small but my worry was unfound as the 4 big prawn and the curry rice was more then enough to fill my stomach. The green tea was free flow too very nice as I chat with my friend and can get thirsty after talking too much. However the service left much to be desired as the waitress just threw the menu on our table. Luckily it was my friend whom treat me if not I would have lodge a complaint already. That waitress keep on bad mouth and made sarcastic remark at her college and it was really bad. continue reading

Ajisen's Seafood Tom Yum Ramen is very poor value at $11++ with only 1pc of surimi crabstick, 3 tiny mushy hotate & 3 thin slices of squid. Not even a slice of cheap frozen dory fish. Not even half a hardboiled egg & a handful of bean sprouts that usually accompany their other ramen dishes. All cheap ingredients, and in ultra stingy quantity in the Seafood Tom Yum Ramen, so thank goodness the tom yum soup was appetizingly piquant, making it possible to slurp up many mouthful of ramen without any ingredients. But that came at a hefty price ~ we were really thirsty afterwards from the copious amounts of MSG that had been used by Ajisen's cooks to add flavour the soup devoid of any fresh ingredients. Order their Seafood Tom Yum Ramen at your own risk!! continue reading

Chicken Teriyaki - The meat is well seasoned, tender and juicy. The Teriyaki sauce is very tasty and goes very well with the white steamed rice. The plate of Teriyaki Chicken is $8.90 and $2 for the steamed rice.Gong Bao Chicken and Tofu Burger Set. The Gong Bao Chicken is not that spicy, the sauce is slightly sweet with a tinge of spicyness. The meat is really tender and well seasoned. The Cashew Nuts tasted good with the Gong Bao sauce. There is also a generous portion of the shredded vegetable. In this set, there is a big piece of silky soft tofu with a very tasty sesame sauce. The spring onion with the sesame sauce on the tofu is simply delicious! Next is the Tofu Hamburger which is a mixture of pork and beef, topped with an egg. Slicing the Tofu Hamburger into small pieces and dipping them with the soft egg yolk is wonderful! There is a sauce provided for the Tofu Hamburger too. It tasted good on the Tofu Hamburger. A very nice set with a variety of food and the price is $13.90!!!Agedashi Tofu (Fried Tofu) - The tofu has a soft fried "skin" and beneath it is the soft tofu. The sauce is a little sweet and it makes the tofu very tasty. Eat it when the tofu is in a piping hot state..simply delicious! continue reading

i think the ramen here is just average, not fantastic but they do have quite a variety of ramen to choose from. The volcano ramen is rated 3/5 spiciness which is perfect for me as the spicy lover. The soup is not spicy before but mixed with chillies the soup becomes quite spicy. But I can stand the spicyness!CHEESE AND MOCHI OKONOMIYAKI! continue reading
