After our dinner, we felt like having some sweet dessert but we did not want to spend too much. Hence, we went up to Kopitiam for desserts as the desserts there are relatively cheaper compared to restaurants. We ordered the Bur Bur Cha Cha, cold. It is a dessert with coconut milk over shaved ice and topped with cubes of yam, tapicoa, and assorted jellies. The topping is quite a lot, but there is all there is as underneath the ice, there is nothing. The tapicoa is quite soft and sweet and the coconut milk complements the taste. The jellies are quite bouncy and chewy in nature which is quite nice as it provides a contrast to the coconut-ice which just melts in your mouth. Overall, it is quite alright for a $2 dessert. If you have kopitiam card you get 10% discount too. continue reading
