Was on my way to work and happen to feel alittle hungry and decided to grab some little snack to eat while on my way to work.   Pass by this QQ Rice outlet and there isn't any people there and decided to grab a rice dumpling over at their counter.Service was warm and friendly. The stall may look small but is still quite cosy inside.  For merely $2.00 per piece, is affordable.   Do not be surprise by its small portion for this snack, the fact is that is quite filling after you have completed one piece.  Rice is fragrant and not soggy, with lots of healthy goodness and value from the brown rice used to cook in it.  Minimum little pieces of bak kwa can only be found in it, whch is not that generous.  Overall was not really that bad aftterall and I am sure I will be back again to buy it. continue reading

QQ rice is a takeaway kiosk selling rice rolls with more than 20 varieties of delicious stuffing. Their grain rice comprises of mixed grain, purple, brown to wheat germ brown rice and are lower in calories than ordinary white rice. I've wanted to try their rice roll but since I was in a rush the other day, I simply grabbed their pre-packed onigiri rice. Their Emperor Veg ($2) is a vegetarian option. Also got the Chicken Floss ($2.50) and it's really interesting how the different colours of grain look like. The fillings are all centered in generously. Although there may be times when I feel like the rice are a little hard for my liking, they're still a good alternative option to have other than sushi. continue reading

My first time eating this. I did not even know how to order. I asked for recommendation. I wanted the purple rice with 5 ingredients. I asked the friendly assistant to suggest the type of ingredients to go with the purple rice. She put in the preserved seaweed, pork floss, taiwan hot dog, fish fillet etc for $4.40. I did not quite like the overall taste. It is not very filling too. continue reading
