Introduction
KOI Cafe was established in 2006 and came to Singapore in 2007. The first outlet in Singapore was in Toa Payoh. Most of the ingredients used in the making of the drinks are imported from Taiwan, in a bid to bring the authentic taste of Taiwanese milk tea to locals. continue reading

First time I'm trying their red tea!Usually i would order their milk tea with pearls This time round, I'm getting their red tea with pearls! As usual there's a crowd and queue at KOI but relatively ordering and waiting time is quite fast My verdict is...the milk tea is still nicer I find the tea a tad bitter.Though it's still refreshing once in a while to try something nice.No doubt the taste of the fragrant tea is still there I'll recommend to try this if you're an avid tea lover, don't miss this continue reading

I ordered medium size cup of milk tea with pearls and it was $2.40. There are 5 levels of sweetness for customer to choose from and I have chosen the 70% sugar level as lower than that will be too bland for me and more than that will be too unhealthy. Also, the amount of pearls they gave was quite a lot as there will be plenty of pearls leftover after I finished the milk tea. I actually prefer KOI Café than some other Cafés as the milk tea was rich and smooth. Also, the pearls were soft, chewy and there were mild sweetness in them. The KOI Café is located at the first level of Yishun Golden Village and it is a newly open stall. There isn't much queue when buying the drinks during non peak hours time. continue reading

As I am quite thirsty on the way home and there is a KOI bubble tea outlet in the area, so decide to go to get a drink. I order a green tea macchiato in large size, which costs $3.50. I selected sugar level of 50%. It is actually green tea with milky foam on top. Service is quite as there is not much people in the queue in front of me. It tastes not sweet and in fact tastes a bit bland. continue reading
