Located in the far end corner of Kopitiam in IMM, the beef noodle stall not only sells noodles but also claypot rice.Kway Tiao, thick bee hoon or normal bee hoon can be chosen for the noodle portion. I ordered beef kway tiao dry at S$4.50. Love the "buffet style" of adding garnishing into my meal. Chinese Parsley and sour vegetables are free flow. The bowl of soup that comes together in the meal seems thick but almost tasteless. Together with gravy, the Kway Tiao was quite smooth. Slices of beef are too soft to my liking while the beef meat balls are bouncy. As I went there before lunch hours for an errand, Im the first and there isnt any queue! For those who are members of the kopitiam card will get discounts from the meal when pay with the card. continue reading

It has been a while since I last eaten a bowl of beef noodle, so I decided to order one today. I went to this stalll and there was no one there. No customer. No stall attendant. I stood in front of the stall, calling out for attention. It was almost noon time and the stall attendant was not really by the stall awaiting for customers. Not an acceptable service. When two attendants finally appeared after my few attempts of calling, I ordered a bowl of beef noodle. At least the preparation didn't take long. $4.50 per bowl ($4.05 with the kopitiam card)The beefs were a little overcooked, quite hard. The beef balls were 'bouncy', nice. Overall taste was pretty acceptable. continue reading

I was back at this crowded kopitiam for lunch with colleagues. Luckily this time round, we were able to find seats for 5 of us. Previously, i ate the fried fish bee hoon and it was a big disappointment. Although i wanted milk to be added into the soup, the soup still taste bland. Will not go back to the same store, hence i decided to try Beef noodle (with beef meatballs) which was located right at the end. Luckily, it tasted fine and i'm able to finish most of it. Soup could have been better if less MSG is used. I added some pepper to the soup to balance the 'beefy' taste. The beef meatballs were average. continue reading
