Was there at JEM on a weekday afternoon and the restaurant was quite empty... as it wasnt dinner time yet. There was a weekday lunch promotion till 5pm so I took the set promo. The Macau Fried Noodles was yummy, pork chop was quite nice, not too hard. I like the taste of the noodles, fried with a tomato base. Delicious!!!My friend was craving for baked rice so she ordered the alacarte Mushroom Baked Rice. I have tried their baked rice before and love it too! Cheesy and shiok! Drinks are ok and normal. continue reading

I was here to settle a quick meal.Fried youtiao with mango The youtiao was quite oily and soggy but luckily the taste was still alright as the mango in it made it tasty and was also quite moist.Wanton meeThe egg noodles' texture were just right, and was a little "springy". The wantons were nicely cooked and gravy was just right too. Service was normal and food didn't arrive as fast as I had expected as there were not many people here. continue reading

Although it is not the best but probably is gonna be their dim sum that will bring me back again the next round.Xin Wang Signature Fried Rice I simply love silver fish a lot. And there are squids and prawns. So much like a seafood fried rice. But one thing to comment is that vegetable. Yes I know for presentation wise, this may look nicer but for the customer's convenience, how you expect customers to eat that one whole stalk? Probably should chop half but present it like a whole. The fried rice is tasty but salty. Maybe because with silver fish along (already have that salty taste). Just feel rather thirsty after that. Their fresh squids and prawns are commendable. Xin Wang Signature Fried NoodlesIt is topped with silver fish again. This time round the vegetables are in smaller size. The taste is just the same as fried rice. Same ingredients. Bits of oily. Quite boring. Har Gao and Siew MaiOkay lah. I don't really hold in high regards of their main courses but their dim sum are sure the saving grace. Fresh ingredients. The har gao skin is just the right texture. Prawns are fresh but I tasted a fresher one than this. Yuzu Ice Green TeaThis is quite refreshing and not sweet too. The combi of green tea and yuzu is kind of good. After some oily stuff, this is your choice. continue reading

Went on a Tuesday during lunch hour and the waiting time was ard 10mins. Maybe it was just the first few days since opening, i found that The service crew was not very friendly and slow in serving their customer our food and drinks took quite long to be served. food-wise, we ordered a Hong Kong style porridge, Hong Kong style noodle and prawn paste chicken. Frankly speaking, the porridge wasn't that nice as compared to the same one I ate in another xin wang restaurant!!! Quite disappointing and I did not managed to finish it. The noodle was better in terms of taste, just that it was abit too dry. The prawn paste chicken was the best among the three but i think other places sell better prawn paste chicken. We also ordered mango pomelo sago which is quite nice and the serving is quite big for 2 person. All in all, I dun think I will visit this place again unless they improve on their food and service!? continue reading
