Prima Deli is a bakery which specialises in cakes, bread and of course waffles! Their waffles are made to order and always served warm to you. Unlike some bakeries which made the waffles ahead of time, although you may not need to wait for the waffle, most of the time, the waffle had turned cold. To me, i believe in waiting for the food to be prepared on the spot and i dont mind waiting for few minutes to enjoy warm piping waffle! I ordered a plain waffle without any toppings. I prefer my waffle to be plain as i would love to try the original taste first without being overwhelmed by the toppings eg; peanut butter/ chocolate. For me, something is considered nice only if when eaten plain, it tastes great and do not require any toppings to make it good. The waffle is soft and more of 'cakey'. It is thinner and less dense than the typical bakery waffle. It is not as crispy but is moist on the inside. Overall, the waffle tastes great.

Currently, there was a promotion for Pandan Cake at Prima Deli in JEM. For Large Pandan Cake, it was selling at $9.40.The Pandan Cake was took out from the Chilled Shelves and the staff reminded me to keep the Pandan Cake in the fridge for storage.The appearance of the Pandan Cake looked like just any other Pandan Cake you see in the Supermarket.However, the looks can be deceiving. This Pandan Cake was very very soft and fluffy like a cotton. When I wanted to cut the cake, maybe my knife was not sharp, the whole Pandan Cake sinked in with my knife blade.The taste of Pandan cake was very moist and airy, with the right sweetness. However, the aroma and taste of Pandan leaves or coconut was light.Overall, this Prima Deli Pandan Cake has better cake texture than Bengawan Solo. But the Bengawan Solo ones has better Pandan aroma and taste.

I'm a puff lover, especially custard puff. Love it when it is chilled and the fillings from within just came bursting out with every bite. Here at PrimaDeli, I decided to try something different so I bought a box of 6 durian puff home.The puff on the outside is soft and has that buttery smell even when it is chilled. And as usual, the durian fillings from within just burst out with just a bite. And the durian taste stays in your mouth for awhile. But I feel that the fillings are not enough. There are also others like fruit tarts, cheese tarts and even custard puffs to choose from. Note on their expiry date or 'Best Before' because initially I wanted to buy fruit tarts but because tomorrow is the expiry and I doubt my family will finish that so fast.

I was JEM and after my dinner i still feel hungry so I ordered waffles from Prima! I ordered the kaya one at $1.60 each and prima deli was known as one of the best waffles in Singapore. I really like the taste of this waffles, it is so crispy and nice, especially when it was served hot. On top of that, I liked the Kaya fillings in it, they are really generous with the kaya spread on my waffles! The queue at JEM was amazingly short, you don't have to wait for 20-30mintues before you are get your waffles. The estimated queuing time was 5 minutes!
