My family decided to go out for a cuppa on 26.12.2014.grandstand at turf club road is nearby. we decided to go to the dutch colony @ pasarbella. it’s quite a hip joint, nice cosy place, great ambience.i don’t go out for coffee often. the last time i had a nice cuppa with wife was at chye seng huat at tyrewhitt road on 17.9.2014.i have a good coffee machine at home & recently i ordered 8x1kg caffe aurora from qbfood (it’s like 40% the price of lavazza coffee from culina! mostly when i had coffee outside it would be the “kopi-c go song tilok” aka kopitiam kind. ^^we had flat whites & the children had some banana cake. like chye seng huat the coffee here was quite good. flavour was great, frothed milk was velvety smooth & combined well with the coffee. this reminded me also of the nice cuppa i had in london with my son-at monmouth cafe in covent gardens on 22.8.2014, andat melrose & morgan during our walk along regent’s canal to primrose hill on 24.8.2014.the 2 in london were much better but that could also be the colder weather & we were doing a bit of walking & the mood was right & perfect for a cuppa.by comparison i feel chye seng huat is better but really not by much. CSH place is cool but dutch colony is nearer if i really want to place with good coffee to chill.See my full reviews & photos at = http://chefquak.com/2014/12/27/great-cuppa-dutch-colony-pasarbella-on-26dec2014/ continue reading

Absolutely delish! The pancake maker was so friendly too! Came here on Fathers Day and tried out their pancakes, had to come back and buy them. The apricot sauce is quite tart, but the chocolate, as shown in the picture, is nicely bittersweet. There are plenty of sprinkles to choose from, complementary and complimentary as well. Pity they only open at 10am on sundays or it would be great for breakfast. continue reading

For the full review and more photos, please visit http://makanarts.com/2014/05/18/dutch-colony-coffee-co-the-grandstand/It has been since some time ago that I had wanted to go to Dutch Colony Coffee Co. because it serves as a roaster, a supplier and a coffee stall at the same time. Than to wait and visit a place that serves its blends, why not visit the source of the coffee?Besides selling coffee drinks, they also sell different coffee beans and blends, as well as pies and cakes supplied from Windowsill Pies. The Latte ($4.50) tasted strong and firm and is definitely pleasing to those who prefers coffee with low acidity.Located within PasarBella of the Grandstand, this may be a inaccessible place to come to so if you are around the Bukit Timah area, this place is just nearby! continue reading

Had a short coffee break at Dutch Colony after lunch. I got the Flat White for $5. The coffee was rather aromatic with lovely coffee art. The quality of the coffee and taste were there although it was not the strongest. No sugar was necessary to be added as the notes of bitterness were what I felt complete a cup of coffee. continue reading

Situated right inside Pasar bella is Dutch colony coffee. The ambience is perfect as the whole area doesn't feel like singapore. It's rare to see a Farmers' market in Singapore. The coffee is brewed to perfection. Ordered a mocha with the red velvet cake. Cake tasted normal and a little too sweet however i'll give all credits to the coffee. It's one of the best i've tasted! Will be back to try other coffee. It's hard to find a space in the area as there're one only common table and a few seats in the store. continue reading
