Was waiting for my friend at Woodlands MRT and decided to check out Dip n Go after hearing about it from a friend. They seem to offer a fuss free fast food concept whereby they put the finger food you order on an indented lid with sauce atop a drink. There is also a hole for the straw. Quite similar to the popcorn chicken and drink item from the fried chicken franchise at Star Vista.Anyway i ordered a Drink and QQ fries ($3.90). Quite interesting that they name it QQ. Anyway i got the cheese dip and fanta grape drink. The fries is cooked to perfection and it didnt take long either. The cuo is designed in such a way it is easy to hold with one hand at the bottom side.Anyway it seems they also offer a festive menu! I would want to try time sometime! continue reading

Dip n Go is a brand by Old Chang Kee aimed at selling fried snacks that you can eat on the go. This concept was clearly designed with convenience in mind, right down to the cleanly designed store, ordering process and even packaging! There are two kinds of meals you can opt for here. The first is a "Signature Cup Meal" which comes with a main, dip and drink while the second is the "Combo Meal" which comes with a Main, Side, Rice, Dip and Drink. I've never tried their combo meals before as the few times I've been here it has always been to takeaway one of their Signature Cup Meal.Ordering the Signature Cup Meal was a breeze. First, you get to choose from a variety of sides ranging from QQ Fries ($3.90) to Chicken Nuggets ($4.90) to Baby Squids ($5.90) and Fish Fingers ($5.90). Then you get to choose the sauce you would like to have with the food. There were sauces in a variety of flavours like Teriyaki, Wasabi, BBQ, Fiery Chilli and Cheese. Finally, you can opt for the usual drinks like Coke, Fanta Grape, Ice Lemon Tea or Passion Fruit. After paying at the counter, you have to wait at the side for your number to be called while the kitchen prepared the food. Waiting didn't take long when I went and the staff were also friendly and courteous.Chicken Chunks Signature Cup Meal ($4.90)This time round, I got the Chicken Chunks with the Teriyaki sauce and Passion Fruit to go! The chicken chunks were crispy, firm but juicy and the teriyaki sauce was just the right amount of sweetness for me. I have also tried other combinations such as the QQ fries and Chicken Nuggets with Cheese and Barbeque sauce. A popular combination would surely be the fries with cheese while the chicken chunks definitely go well with BBQ or Teriyaki. The ability to mix and match though, means that you can just get whatever you fancy, like the time I got chicken nuggets with cheese! Price was quite okay starting at $3.90 for the fries set, although the chicken chunks and chicken nuggets set cost $4.90 which I personally found to be a tad pricey for just a few pieces of chicken with sauce and soft drink. You can prolly get a nugget set meal for more or less the same price at fast food restaurants like McDonalds. What I didn't like was that there was no option to exclude the drink and just get the food and sauce for cheaper, but this was the way the takeaway concept was designed to be at Dip n Go.The hassle-free container was certainly designed for one to eat on the go and it was also great to keep afterward for reusing! Price aside, this is a very convenient snack to have while on the go because all you need to do is to Dip and Go! continue reading

This is one of the newest creations from Old Chang Kee, which is famous for its finger foods, curry puffs and chicken wings! Dip N Go is actually located at Woodlands MRT, beside the $0.50 Sushi Express. For each set, which costs between $3.90 to $5.90, you'll get a side dish, drink and a dip. For their side dish, you can choose from Chicken Skin ($3.90), QQ Fries ($3.90), Chicken Chunks ($4.90), Chicken Nugget ($4.90), Baby Squids ($4.90), Vegetables ($3.90). For their Dips, you can choose from Cheese Dip, Wasabi Mayo Dip, BBQ Dip, Fiery Chilli Dip, Teriyaki Mayo Dip. Addition dips are available for $1. For drinks, you can choose from Fanta Grape, Coca Cola, Ice Lemon Tea & Passionfruit Tea. Drinks are also available for a-la-carte at $1.70. For $3.90, you will be able to get 2 chicken wings with 1dip. And $9.90 for 6 chicken wings and 3 dips. For $1.00, you will be able to get a Hot Dog Bun and a dip. Which is a great deal to me! For those who are looking for meals, they do serve rice bowls (Rice, Side Dish, Dip & Drink) for $6.20. My recommendation for side dish will be Crispy Chicken Skin ($3.90) and QQ Fries ($3.90). Its chicken skin is fried till real crispy, and with the dips, it taste really nice! As for those who loves potatoes, you will love its QQ Fries. It's really curly and tasty. My recommendation for its dip will be cheese and teriyaki mayo. Their cheese is nacho cheese, which is pretty nice to go with all of its side dishes. As for the teriyaki mayo, its a little sweet, with mayo, which gives it a great taste and goes very well with Crispy Chicken Skin. As for its wasabi mayo, its also good, but not suitable for non-spicy eaters! Drinks wise... I don't think I need to do much explanation! Lastly, I would like to highlight that for $1, you can get a tasty Hot Dog Bun with a dip! Its hot dog bun goes well with cheese and also teriyaki mayo! For the rest of the dips, it also goes quite well with the hot dog bun! continue reading

Adorable symbol of the stall, I was attracted by the little white chick and gave it a try. A finger food eatery brought by Old Chang Kee, the concept was simple and fuss-free. The board was there for us to place our orders, easy to understand. Taking their signature, we had QQ Fries and Chicken Chunks. Squeezed inside a container with two partitions, one was for sauce and one was for snacks. Crispy and springy for both, Teriyaki Mayo sauce was striking a right balances of salty and sweet. Such two ways matching was surprisingly desirable, additional $1.00 to attach another dips. Only take away allowed, the kiosk didn’t provide seats. It was a very convenient snack to settle as you are so hungry and need something to fill up instantly. continue reading

I always love Old Chang Kee's chicken wing and sotong. Now they have a sister brand, Dip n Go that adds on more varieties of finger food for all to indulge.Okay according to their brand logo and name, I can only say that their main specialty will be Chicken. Chicken wings, chicken chunks, chicken nuggets. There are 5 different dips to choose from: BBQ, Teriyaki Mayo, Fiery Chilli, Wasabi Mayo and Cheddar Cheese. Had their food for 2 consecutive days. So we have tried their BBQ and Fiery Chilli sauce. The BBQ sauce is a little sour (or maybe the taste is meant to be like this) but still nice and bearable. Suits my palate. As for Fiery Chilli sauce, not very spicy yet a little taste of sweetness from within. Not bad a choice. For me, there is kind of limitation to their menu. I have to buy at least their Signature Combo Meal instead of just Ala Carte. They have Ala Carte menu but only one miserable item: Chicken Wings. But on the other hand, the thought of having their combo is great too because you may feel thirsty and needed a drink. The Signature Combo comes with their Main + Dip + Drink. Their choice of drinks is limited too and all soft drinks. At their counter, you can see their varieties of finger foods and I have tried Jumbo Squids on Day 1 and Seafood rings on Day 2 and both are awesome. And I superb like their plastic container. The top part where they hold the food and dip can be taken out. And there is a small hole for you to poke your straw for the drinks at the bottom of the container. You don't need to hold your food one hand and drinks on the other. So convenience. And some more you can wash clean and use it for other purposes. Re-use it for your nachos treat. Don't you just find it ideal for that? Put the cheese on one side and Nachos on the other bigger compartment on the other side. And the bottom part, POPCORNS!!! Or even use that for drinking purpose. Okay one more. If you don't want for any food purpose, put your bouquet of flowers using the bottom compartment (which is meant for the drinks). Wonderful isn't it? You can explore further yourself on the re-using part. The Jumbo Squids taste very nice. Crispy on the outside, springy on the inside. The dip of the day is BBQ sauce. Don't need my elaboration further. It has been described above. There are about 4 big pieces and costs $5.90. To me, is slightly pricey but worth a try once awhile.By the way, a little advice here. It will be good if you have it instantly. My guy said that it tastes a little soggy because we brought it back home before having it. It actually turns a little cold than at first but I still find it good. Not really very soggy. I like the chewing part. And we had their Seafood rings with Fiery Chilli dip. As usual, the outside is crispy and not very dry because still can taste the little juiciness from within. The inside is soft and tender, melts in your mouth and there are fish and sotong taste. There is about 6 pieces (1 of them you can't see because is below the 5 pieces) and it costs $5.90.Overall, is worth a try though a little pricey. continue reading
