There is limited choices of dining in Northpoint for vegetarian. One of the choices is this stall in the food court. Similar to the the “Economy Rice” stalls, it display a selection of dishes on the shelf for one to select to go with plain white rice, brown rice or fried bee hoon. Selecting 3 different vegetables dishes to go with brown rice, it costs $3.30. As I am using the Kopitiam blue card, there is a discount of 10%. The vegetable dishes tastes not bad but I feel it is a bit too oily. I like the way the bean curd skin is been tied into a knot. There is also soup to go with the dish. continue reading

Figured out how good was the Vegetarian food, me and a vegan friend just simply ordered one of their western cuisines. Nobody else placing orders, but the waiting time was long. Economy mixed rice dishes were readily displayed, maybe culinary other than that was prepared on the spot upon customer’s order. Staff was polite and she apologized for the wait.Thickly crispy Vegan Chicken Mince given in two pieces, they were surprisingly tasted like the normal one. Smokey hot when arriving, the “meat grinder” was freshly deep-fried without overly oily. The platter also included one plain Bun, French Fries and Coleslaw. The price was $5.50 for entire, I get 10% discount because of the Kopitiam Membership card. continue reading

As it was still early to have dinner, I decided to takeaway my dinner back home to eat. I ordered from this vegetarian stall as the pictures of the food on the stall's board look quite attractive and the food looks good as well. I ordered the bee hoon with four different ingredients, the sliced cabbage, the fried beancurd skin, mock char siew and mock duck meat. Of the ingredients, I enjoyed the fried beancurd skin the most as it is slightly crispy and it has enough taste. The cabbage is also soft and goes well with the beehoon. The only thing which I did not quite like is the mock char siew as it is quite tough to bite and it is rather bland in taste. This costs $3.50. The store is around the centre of the food court for your reference in locating the stall. continue reading
