Was here for a company dinner so obviously, this was not a conscious choice on my part. It's situated within Park Mall which gets really quiet and dim at night but surprisingly, there were quite a lot of people who were here. I started off with the usual cold items i.e. sushi, seafood and salads. The mussels were OK but the sushi was rather disappointing and didn't taste as fresh as I would have wanted. As for the salad, it was merely passable.Moving on to the dim sum and snack items, although there was a decent selection, I thought that there weren't many items which caught my fancy. It was as if nothing really tasted horrible and yet nothing could be considered as delicious.I didn't like the chili crabs but found the deep fried buns better. Strange when you come to think of it because the side dish got into my good books rather than the main ingredient. The other meat dishes were mediocre. As for the famed barbecue meats, the queue was pretty long and I didn't want to wait for that so I skipped this section. To end the evening, I had porridge which was really not what I would eat in most situations. I thought of using this to clear the saltiness that had built up over the evening but was unsuccessful.Considering the price of around $30 in town, the spread is decent. However, more can be done about the quality so that it feels like a much better deal. Service was relatively quick i.e. clearing of plates was efficient. continue reading

I went to Kublai khan for buffet with my family. It was my first time being there and it will definitely not be my last. The food was really good, the buffet spread was awesome, there were poached tiger prawn, crayfish, mussels, scallop in shell, chilli crab, cereal prawn, sambal clam and many more. The seafood was so fresh, sweet and juicy. the chilli crab was cooked absolutely deliciously. You can taste the juiciness of the crab. I love the cereal of the prawn. It is so crispy and buttery. Really delicious. continue reading

My first time to visit their restaurant. Their mongolia fried meat really amazed me.Very big pan and big utensil to cook the meet. One best thing is, you choose your own portion of meat and vegetable, as well as sauce too. The amount of food is control by you so won't be wasted. The meat is cooked just nice and not overcooked. The chef cooked quite fast so even is ling queue, they still manage to serve you very efficient. continue reading

Food lovers will always love buffet for you can try different varieties of food , chosen this restaurant as they stated 150 choices of food and Mongolian BBQ . I just tried some of the food like the shark fin soup ( quite yummy ) , chilli crab ( not fresh ) , satay ( the meat was cold and hard , but if you dip into the hot sauce it will taste ok ) , some fried food and dim sum.. The only thing is that really worth trying is the Mongolian BBQ , whereby you can chose your own meat and vegetable plus sauce and the chef will help you to cook . Service is not that ok as the staff came to clear only when our table is full and need me to keep looking at his direction so I can call him to clear , a few times I saw that he saw that there's more than one plate which he can clear he didn't instead he keep clearing one table of four at the corner . Don't think I will go back again as the food is just average seriously and thumbs down for the service.. just one staff to bring down the impression of a restaurant . continue reading
