There are so many bubble tea shops at Causeway Point but ShareTea is quite conveniently located at the MRT station which makes it ideal to grab a drink on the way home without having to go into the mall. After our meal at Ananas Cafe, we decided to buy bubble tea to quench our thirst and ShareTea was our nearest option. There are quite a range of bubble tea here from their "Brewed Tea" and "Milk Tea" series to "Authentic Japan" and "Artisan Creme" series. I was initially thinking of buying the Ume Plum Fruit Tea but we noticed that they had Hokkaido Milk Tea and Okinawa Milk Tea which looked pretty tempting, and so we ended up getting the Hokkaido Milk Tea and Honey Green Tea.Honey Green Tea with Black Pearls (Medium, 50% Sugar) ($2.20)The Green Tea was quite aromatic but we both agreed that it kind of overshadowed the honey taste, while was mild at best. At 50% sugar level, this wasn't too sweet and was quite refreshing. The black pearls were also smooth and chewy and the portion given was quite decent.Hokkaido Milk Tea with White Pearls (Medium, 50% Sugar) ($3.20 + $0.60 for White Pearls)On first sip, we were hit with the intense flavour of caramel. This was also quite milky which I liked. However, unlike the Honey Green Tea, this Milk Tea was quite sweet even at a sugar level of 50%. The white pearls cost an additional $0.60 to add on but the portion given was quite generous. These white pearls were firmer and a tad rougher and harder to chew than the black pearls. Personally though, I wasn't too keen on the taste and texture of the white pearls and would give this add-on a miss the next time. The bubble tea here was a little pricey but the taste, especially for the Hokkaido Milk Tea, was quite good. I liked that you can choose to "customize" the sugar level and also the ingredients to add on if you wish. The counter staff was also very friendly and helpful and I was surprised that despite our messy ordering description, he keyed in our orders right on the first try. Thumb up for service! For the price though, these bubble tea drinks are going to be an once-in-a-while treats for us, but after trying the Hokkaido Milk Tea, which I'd highly recommend, I am pretty keen to try the Okinawa Milk Tea in the near future! continue reading
