Yhingthai is where you can authentic thai food in a classy environment that is not too classy that you feel out of place, but you get the feeling that you're in your private dining room. There were some family issues going on in the corner of the restaurant and everyone was quite respectful on what was going on.The staff are quite friendly and open to you changing your orders. ie. if you don't eat...pork they can substitute the meat, or if you want to add an egg to your Basil Fried Rice.Tom Yam comes in two choices when you are here: with or without coconut milk (good if you're calorie conscious). I believe there's also spicy and non-spicy version. Served on a nice delicate porcelain bowl Olive Fried Rice had a very well presentation and tasted great. The ingredients are placed surrounding the purple rice so you can choose what you want to mix inside continue reading

Was craving for some thai food for this afternoon and decided to check out the thai food here. The restaurant was quite cozy and comfortable, service was friendly and fast as well. Have ordered their stuffed chicken wings ($3 per piece) and also the green curry chicken ($15 per portion). The chicken wings' meat is very juicy and tender, and the outer layer is crispy and not too oily, fragrant and delicious! The green curry is not too spicy and the texture is quite thick and fragrant. lots of crunchy fresh vegetable can be found inside as well. continue reading

The place has a very vintage feel. Decorations were nice and beautiful. Ambience is great. Feels authentic. Stuffed chicken wings were sooooo good, we ordered twice.Phad thai was nice and it's really close to what I had in Bangkok.Their seafood were really fresh. However, very pricey. Would only go back on special occasion.Total bill was $90+, close to a hundred. No doubt the price is high, but it is worth it. continue reading

Craving for Thai food, it was either First Thai or Yhingthai along Purvis St, consulted blogs n reviews, and the vote was cast, we decided to opt for Yhingthai as it has higher rating. Actually we ate this a long long time ago, but i was too lazy to blog hence it is only after 3 months that this is here! So anyhow, i kinda have forgotten how the dishes taste. All i can conclude is that this outlet has got to be one of the best Thai restaurants I have been in Singapore! This is a strange but lovely dish recommended by the waitress. Erm strange weird name too. This dish is called Condiments. It is some ikan bilis, small shrimps, mango, chili padi and onion on top of a leaf. U roll the leaf up together with the condiments and dip it into the bowl of chili. Unique and refreshing taste. Mango salad. Quite a unique dish.Fish maw soup ($8), another recommended dish, but as i am not a fan of fish maw, so this soup is kind of forgettable. Okay but i am sure my mama would love it too. Tom Yum Soup with coconut and Clear Tom Yum Soup ($6 per bowl). I very much preferred the clear tom yum soup. Hot and Fiery, wonderful taste of lemongrass. I think i could just go there especially for the clear tom yum soup. Mama would truly love this. The stuffed chicken wing was really good, filled with lots of stuffing like mushrooms and asparagus. Served really hot. But of course this doesnt come cheap at $3 per piece. The Olive Rice was very very good, very fragrant, not too salty, one of the best I have eaten. ($20 for medium)Green Curry Chicken, never liked green curry cos of the heavy coconut taste. And the pieces of chicken in the curry is kinda pathetic. Still prefer the indian version of curry chicken where you get solid parts of the chicken and not small pathetic pieces. ($15 for small) continue reading

If you have cravings for thai food, try the one at Yhingthai palace. I personally love thai food so i actually quite like many items on their menu. They serve authentic thai food and their serving plates are all beautiful. Food was good, spicy, sour, sweet, like how thai food should be. Try out their boneless thai chicken wing. Dip with their sweet and sour thai chili sauce, it is even better! continue reading
