I have great colleagues, and Im always recommended by them for new places especially bakeries for cupcakes! Im a sucka for cupcakes.I chose the Sesame Street's specials and I choose all of them. One each, Elmo, Oscar and Cookie Monster. Im not sure many walk in bakeries have this designs. Most are like you have to order in advanced. The buttercream on the cupcakes were thick but i liked it. The cake was a bit dry and has not much flavor. But nevertheless I enjoyed it. The design made me such a happy girl! Im a sucka for Sesame Streets as well. The cupcakes dont come cheap though. It's $4 per cupcakes for the Sesame Streets's special. The normal cupcakes are $3.50. continue reading

I must give this cupcake shop five stars for their designs and innovations. They are so cute, especially the Sesame Street designs and their Minion fondants, both of which i purchased on two different occasions. I especially fell in love with their Minion cupcake fondants. And when I brought them home, the cupcakes were so cute and adorable that I really couldn't bring myself to cut into them. But when I finally took a forkful of these cupcakes, I was quite disappointed. The Elmo cupcake (vanilla with lychee buttercream) was rather sweet and the taste of the lychee was a little sickly for my liking. The Oscar (chocolate with vanilla bean buttercream) fared slightly better but I wish it weren't so sweet too. At least dark chocolate seemed to have been used, so that balanced out the sweet buttercream a little bit.As for the minion cupcakes, I had the fondants on a banana cake and a strawberry cake base. To my disappointment, these were just as sweet as the Sesame street cupcakes. I could not even eat the minions, because they were made purely of icing sugar, and just a few bites of this, made me feel rather queasy.Overall, these are not the best cupcakes I have tasted and I think they could be less sugary. To see some photos of the cupcakes, do check out my respective blog posts.
