My girlfriend and I headed to banquet for afternoon tea after shopping around popular. We did not want to order the main courses as we already had dinner plans. My girlfriend suggested we get fried dumplings to share. The fried dumplings at the Korean stall was pretty pricey so we got them from the ban mian stall. The ban mian’s stall the fried dumplings were not shaped like normal dumplings. The amount of fillings they added to their dumplings is quite a lot. It goes really well with the vinegar dip. continue reading

i ordered the fried dumpling from the ban mian stall at jurong point banquet. Their dumpling is not the same shape as those normal dumplings, theirs is shaped in a yuan bao shape. They were pretty generous with the filling, the outside was really crispy. The meat inside was seasoned perfectly, not too salty. It was rather reasonably priced, five dumplings for only four dollars. Was pretty satisfied with what I got. continue reading

I love to packet ban mian from this stall. They seperate my noodles and the soup so my noodles do not get mushy when I get home. The noodles are handmade so they are soft and easy to digest. The chicken pieces were not very tasty and well-seasoned that day, sadly. Chicken pieces makes the soup less messy, unlike minced pork in other places where the meat gets broken up into pieces. I love ban mian! continue reading

This is my all time favourite ban mian stall. Firstly, the noodle is soft and well-cooked. And the soup is clear, unlike some other stalls where the minced meat causes the soup to be quite messy. Most importantly, the soup is very tasty. They cook the noodles right in front of you so you can ask for more vegetables or less meat! If you do not want your soup to be too oily, ask for less ikan bilis and shallots. For a takeaway, you can ask to separate your noodles and soup so that the noodles will not turn soggy later on. It's reasonably priced at $4 for a meal in air-conditioned comfort. 10% discount if you use a BANQUET discount card. Its slurping goood! (: continue reading
