Scissors Cut Rice was formerly well-known of their Curries, mixed veggies rice in basic concept. It was a quick and convenient to order, provided numerous dishes for their customers. A very comfy foodcourt, the tables and seats were arranged neatly while their stall was appealing and hygiene. Different dishes brought different value, price varied based on the dishes chosen.Ordered only two dishes, one was my favourite spicy Tofu and the other was stir-fried cabbages. Shiningly appeared on my plate, they were both delightful and savoury. A complimentary soup of the day came along, the taste was decent. Nothing luxury regarding the meal, it was basically traditional Chinese-style cuisine. Portion was enough but slight pricey, $4.00. continue reading

Very crowded! Hard to find seat and thankfully this couple shifted so we could sit down. Prompt delivery upon payment. This stall sells all things vegetarian. There wasn't a vegetarian stall so this was the only option (refer to photos). The taste was actually quite good. Vegetables, broccoli , beansprouts were all crunchy and fresh doesn't have that soaked soggy texture. Potatoes with the sauce was fresh too, unlike those usually left under the tungsten bulb for hours. continue reading

it was my first time eating the mixed vegetable rice here, and I was surprised by the cost of it. I ordered the sweet and sour fish slice and braised bean curd and it cost me four dollars. I find it a little too pricey. Even though the portion of the rice and dishes are quite a lot, but it is still quite expensive. The braised bean curd is very tasty, the gravy goes absolutely well with the rice. The fish slice is very fresh, not too thick a slice as well. it was marinated pretty well too. the food is good but the price not very attractive. continue reading

Whenever its late and I'm looking for economical rice in Jurong Point, this is the stall to go to. They have a wide variety of dishes and they produce in large quantities so even till 8pm+ there are still a lot of dishes available! Although they have a wide variety, they actually have very few dishes of meat and the braised chicken normally do not taste good. They are pretty dry, just like their curry chicken. Additionally, the vegetables are not fresh. Considering its pretty expensive (2meat+1veg is $4.50 or $5.50 I think), its actually not too worth it. However, its probably one of the very few stalls that still offers customers a choice of side at 9pm so its actually worth the money if you are looking for economical rice after dinner hours If it's any consolation, their employees' are very helpful and friendly. continue reading
