My favorite steamboat place, previously located at parkway parade mall, now it has been move to toa payoh hdb hub food court. Was so happy that I can get to eat their steamboat again as I thought they have closed down. Usually I will order 2 types of soup base, chicken and tomyum. I am totally in love with their tomyum soup! It is really tasty and spicy enough to my liking. Me and my friends have order beef, pork, cheese tofu, hotdog, udon, golden mushroom, cabbage. Our favorite is the beef as it is fresh and chewy. Total bill come up to around $40 which I find it quite reasonable. I highly recommend this steamboat to you if you are a fan of tomyum soup. Their tomyum soup base is really good that that is what they are famous for too. continue reading

Finally I found a place, casual and suitable for small but long-winded gathering. I heard from my friend, Mini Steamboat was previously located at Parkway Parade. Shifted to Toa Payoh was a brilliant idea, because the location was easier accessible for their supporters. Although the space was not huge but the tables and seats were arranged properly, relaxed airy. So we ended decided on Mixture of Tom Yum and Chicken soup base, it was the most common choice. We waited around 10 minutes, although apparently shorthanded yet the service was quite prompt. Took Special Set, the whole was comprised of chicken, frozen balls, hotdogs, veggies and rice. Using electronic method of cooking, the level of heat was controlled by us. I like the Tom Yum Soup more, savoury with a right ratio of spicy and sour. Chicken Soup was reversely light and decent. The price was varied, depends on the set choices or ala-carte plates. No worries, it was absolutely wallet friendly. continue reading

One of my Thai colleague always praise this stall Tom Yam soup steamboat is super nice so we decide to try this out with her since Singapore now keep raining. Having steamboat in rainy days are wonderful. This stall previously was from Parkway and they have moved to Toa Payoh Hub Food court.Service is good as we find the place inside the stall is too cramp so we decide to change to sit outside. The staff are helpful to shift and make the changes. We ordered the Seafood Set. The chicken soup was normal. Tom Yum Soup was only so-so to me, perhaps I placed too high expectations on it. The ingredient of the seafood set I would say it is really fresh. Hmm... Won't be going to eat anymore. continue reading

Use to patronise this at Parkway everytime when I am there ever since they move out in the early Feb this year today is my first time visiting them here with my bestie. It was located on basement in HDB hub when you take escalator down you get to see it seating capacity is about the same as parkway but somehow a bit crampy and is actually in a food court. They can also have their stove being placed outside of their area. Pricing still about the same and they have different sets to choose from which comes with a plate of vegetable and rice. Took yuan yang soup - chicken and tomyum. Chicken soup was bland but after cooking some food is more tastier and they also provide some soya sauce and pepper for us to add to flavour. Tomyum was good, Yuki and I will always add more thicker to the soup simply love the soup! And best was the chilli nothing beat this I will always buy one big tub during chinese new year cos is a not to be miss when eating steamboat!Total cost $54+ continue reading
