Don’t be deceived by their unflattering looks, these little muffins are surprisingly soft and delicious. They come in a myriad of flavours including chocolate, oreo, blueberry, walnut, and cranberry. The muffins are relatively small and good for a light afternoon snack with a cup of hot coffee or tea. I especially enjoyed their walnut flavour as they were generous with their toppings and the walnuts were quite crunchy. The muffins were fresh (hot from the oven in fact when I purchased them) and exuded a hint of buttery fragrance. My only gripe is that the location not exactly very convenient to travel to. Other than that, these muffins are definitely worth a try! continue reading

Who says Muffins have to be squeeze in pretty little cup, I tried the fantastic one without luxury gorgeous packaging. Uggli Muffins originally started up as a Zi Char stall, after that changed their concept to sell uniquely interesting Muffins. It was located at Wet Market Toa Payoh, walking distance to Braddell MRT.Baking oven visible at the stall, all Muffins were baked on the spot and freshly came out from stove. Ladyboss churned out as many Muffins as possible, while Boss took down patrons’ orders and paid attention for the timing of baking time. Their sentiment was perfect, busy producing quality Muffins without break. Extensive flavours as seen from picture, we were spoilt for choices. I opted for Chocolate, Muffin was fluffy and mixed with choco sprinkles. Surprisingly though, the soft and brown crispy crust was not very sweet. Another was Raisin and Orange Peel, slightly tangy with little sour hint surrounded. Simple yet still delicious, it was moist buttery fragrant. Muffins were shaped irregularly with quite even portion, price was 0.90 for each. continue reading

Today we have a vendor who gives us a box of baby muffins from Uggli Muffins. The muffins are tiny and cute looking. There is Chocolate, Walnut and Oreo Cookies flavours. Each muffin costs $0.90. The muffins are quite tiny and one can easy finish one in a couple of mouthfuls. The muffins taste great soft and fluffy inside, especially the walnut ones which is nutty and crunchy. continue reading
