I was around Joo Chiat area with my mom and this shop is just right in-front of the bus-stop we were at! The muffins on the display counter were calling out to us and they were priced at $9 for 6 pieces! We decided to takeaway for our tea-break later ^^ The banana bread looks good too and we bought back a loaf. True enough, it tasted as good as it looks as it had the right amount of moistness and banana flavour! However, the muffins were disappointing as they were quite dry. I had the banana chocolate and strawberry chocolate flavour and both didn't had much filling. continue reading

The Baker’s Well roadshow at Takashimaya has a lot to show case to consumer. They brought a fridge to display all the cookie and goodie. It was well displayed on the fridge. I was offered some cookies to sample. The promoter promoted Almond Pillows which are purely no butter added. Despite the fact that no butter is added, the Almond Pillows are still able to maintain in smooth texture. It costs $25 per bottle. The next items to sample was the Prawn Roll. The prawn roll is thin skinned and it is not spicy. It costs $23 per bottle. The next items sampled was Homebaked kueh Bangkit. There were sufficient added in the bangkit. Once the bangkit is put in the mouth, the bangkit automatically dissolved. It is hard outside but soft inside in the mouth. The juicy pineapple tarts costs $23 for 400 gram is an excellent cookie. The pineapple is fresh and juicy. I like the almond pillows as the best choice. continue reading

Many times I walked past Baker's Well at East Coast Rd and the fragrant smell of bread and muffins would make me feel so tempted to buy them. So while waiting for the nearby dog cafe - We're the Furballs (WTF) to open, my boyfriend and I dropped by Baker's Well for a snack as well as to kill some time. Over the 2 years that I have not been to Baker's Well, they have added an interior dining area - it was just takeaway in the past. However, in-dining charges a slightly higher price for the cakes and tarts they sell as compared to takeaway. We ordered an eclair and mango tart with a drink. The eclair is not bad, and I love the mango tart!! Slightly pricey as compared to outside but once in a while it's ok for a sweet treat continue reading
