Signature Dishes
The place was not crowded with just a table occupied at the back. But I decided to sit outside with a fan blowing at the table as it was much cooler. Here the system was pay as you order at the counter. Food will be served to you at your table. Service was quite fast. At first wanted to order raw fish to go with porridge but was not available as due to the recently raw fish GBS infection cases.Fish with mixed pork porridge ($4.50)Topup $0.50 for egg. The porridge was quite smooth in texture, filled with sliced fish, tender pork slices, pig's liver slices, and pig's intestines. Not bad and quite flavourful without adding additional shoyu or pepper.Stir fried pig's intestines ($5)It was stir fried with lettuces, minced meat and topped with spring onions and sliced chilli. Well flavoured and slightly on the salty side, but great with porridge. The pig's intestines did not have the offending taste or smell.Overall food was not bad. But the staffs were a bit impatient type.

was craving for something light for dinner and settled for this fish porridge at ah Chiang. Service was friendly and my porridge was served to me a few minutes after my order. The piping hot bowl of fish porridge was soft and very smooth. I like that you can taste the rice bits in this porridge. The smooth texture made it very easy to eat. The fish was fresh and did not have any fishy stench. Overall, it was very pleasant bowl of fish porridge.

Bought a bowl of the signature pork porridge from this famous porridge outlet in Toa Payoh. Business was really good and my porridge took them nearer twenty minutes to prepare before served to me. The stall is clean and neat and their food menu display is clear and informative. Porridge texture is very smooth and not too watery and generous among of juicy minced pork can befound in it. For less than $5 per bowl, is quite cheap. Service here is friendly too.
