Situated along the river walk of Robertson Quay, Bridger's Cafe is hidden gem as neither many people have heard of it nor been there. Tucked at a quiet corner of Watermark, it was a surprise find for me as I initially wanted to visit Kith Cafe instead that is just next door. However, Kith Cafe decided to close their doors at 7pm sharp on a rainy day and I decided to check out Bridger's Cafe instead.Initially, the owners told me that they are closing soon too but they were very nice to extend their opening hours just for us to fill our empty stomachs. The quaint cafe looks very cosy unlike any other commercialized cafes with seats inside and outside for those who wishes to take in the cool evening breeze by the waterfront. There's a small blackboard inside the cafe too with the menu written on it, giving a very rustic and comfy feel of the entire setting. Looking at it, it allows walk-in customers to have a good gauge of the overall menu here, which is rather affordable. Without further ado, let's find out how the food taste with such an attractive price given the excellent waterfront location!I don't really know how to classify this cafe as they serve a variety of cuisine which the owner says they are good at. The male boss recommended me the Turkish Eggs with Premium Sausages and Mozzarella Cheese ($5.80) which came served in a pan but what's with the aluminum foil? That aside, Turkish eggs actually refers to the ingredients that are topped on it which includes the tasty sausages, tangy tomato sauce and spring onion on cheesy mozzarella omelette. It is served with freshly toasted heart-shaped toast. Yumz! Perfect for an all-day breakfast. Coming to the Smoked Salmon Carpaccio Salad ($12.50), it was one of the favourite among my fellow diners that night. Thickly sliced smoked salmon slices went so well with fresh crisp greens and toast at the side. Complete with a drizzle of appetizing lemon shoyu dressing, it has a touch of Asian yet keeping it citrus and tangy. Oh, don't forget about the nicely poached egg at the side too which can be requested to be semi-poached for those who like it runny. Perfect light meal on its own!The husband owner of this place told us that the recipe of this Saito San Chix Burger ($14.80) came from a Japanese chef, hence the name "Saito San". The chicken patty of this burger is homemade and stuffed with brie cheese for that, soft, smooth and creamy texture when pan-fried. It was orgasmic when I heard about it as I am a fan of cheese. Although the patty don't look too good on the outside, it was delicious with that rustic home-made touch to the entire burger. The food was great overall at this hidden gem with awesome owners who are super lovely and friendly. I can feel that they treat this cafe as their baby by already extending their opening hours for us and ensuring all of us enjoyed our dinner. Excellent thoughtful service which is hard to find around Singapore these days. I'm certainly telling my friends about this place as they deserve more exposure for a cafe with reasonable price and unpretentious quality home-made food!

A small little cafe tucked away in a corner of Robertson Quay, Bridger's Cafe is owned by a Korean couple & had a seating capacity of about only 20.But don't let it's appearance fool you, this little cafe serves great quality food at humble pricings, lovingly made & served by the Korean owners themselves.Turkish Eggs with Premium Sausages and Mozzarella Cheese ($5.80)The Turkish Eggs is quite a delightful item on the menu, with a thin layer of slightly runny eggs with tomato paste, topped with Mozzarella Cheese & Premium Sausage. I especially like salty & slightly tangy flavour of this dish. The toast is abit hard, but does goes well with the eggs.The downside for this dish is that the portion is quite small. But it's really cheap so I guess it's okay if you treat it as an appetizer.Smoked Salmon Carpaccio Salad ($12.50)I'm absolutely in love with this dish! Comes with Norwegian Smoked Salmon, lettuces, Mesclun leaves, poached eggs & potato, with a red wine + sesame dressing, a delicious plate of salad if you like Salmon.The sauce is what really sold me. It's tangy & bursting of flavours that I cant get enough of. Dont forget to use the toast to soak up the remaining of this savoury goodness when you are done with the salad!

Bridger’s café is hidden at the ground level of Watermark Robertson Quay Condo – right opposite the usual Robertson quay area we normally visit. If you’re familiar with Miramar hotel, Bridger’s café just across the road from there, can be accessed via the bridge.Do not let the humble, unpretentious setup and vibe fool you ;) This place has rather good food. It is a rather homely café with food tasting like what a mother would prepare for her family - simple and full of love The owners (boss and lady boss) would personally do the cooking, ordering and serving all by themselves giving you a chance to interact directly with them. A lovely, cozy café indeed.Prices are all below $15, which makes it one of the more value-for-money cafés in town.There are indoor seats, albeit a bit squeezed. If the weather is kind enough, I would recommend having the alfresco seating area where you can dine by the tranquil riverside.***Turkish Eggs with Premium Sausages and Mozzarella Cheese $5.80The Turkish eggs comes with 2 pieces of toast, similar to the Tunisian breakfast where you can dip your toasts into the sizzling pan of runny cheese egg “gravy” or have them with the sausages. This is the non-spicy version though Smoked Salmon Carpaccio Salad $12.50This salad has a combination of various textures and tastes – soft, runny, crunchy, sweet, salty and tangy. It’s a mini fireworks explosion on your palette if you try everything on the plate at one go Saito San Chix Burger $14.80The Japanese-inspired chicken burger was a surprise from this small café, as it could easily give other burger house a run for their money. The patty was thick and juicy, and it comes with cheese in the middle of it. The sweet, red tomatoes slices and onions paired perfectly well with the cheesy chicken.If the weather is too warm, you have a choice of cooling down with the gelatos available. The normal flavours (Vanilla, chocolate and strawberry) are at $3.50 per scoops, while others (Cookies & Cream, Salted caramel and Hazelnut) are at $3.80 per scoop. Additional scoops are at $2.80 each and waffle ice-cream cones are available for $0.70 Once again, pretty decent pricing.I had the salted caramel, which came with peanut toppings. I’m not usually a fan of peanut toppings in my ice-cream, but this time round, it was welcome as the ice-cream had not much a flavor. Chanced upon this cosy cafe at Robinson Quay when our initial meeting place at Kith Cafe was closed for the day.The cafe is opened by a friendly couple, whom they not only serve the customers and also do the cooking by themselves. Our host ordered some mains on the menu, so that we can try on several dishes.Cafe's service was prompt, though the waiting time for the meal was slightly longer due to they freshly cooked when ordered. The most delicious one was the Smoked Salmon Carpaccio Salad which cost $12.50.The smoked salmon had a mild smoky aroma, not too overly smoked like the ones we got at local supermarket. The salmon meat was light in salt and soft to chew on. The egg was poached, yellowish yolk flowing out when cut opened. But the egg white was slightly firmer.The star was the green salad. The salad sauce of red wine and sesame dressing was very yummy and unique on the greens. The sauce tasted sweet, sourish and savory, a mixed of east and west.Overall, it was a nice, cosy and quiet cafe with a good view of the river.
