Was craving for Korean food at far east plaza (FEP) and the only place that i can think of to dine at is su Korean cuisine, located at basement 1 of FEP. I have been there before for their Korean bbq and it was not bad. This time round, I am back for their ale carte dishes. As usual, they are generous with their sides. They all are refillable and all are yummy! My favourite will be ikan bilis and kimchi. Kimchi was very spicy that day and i like it.For the main, I have ordered cold noodles. The staff came with scissors and cut the noodles as they are really long and lumped together. The staffs there were generally very friendly and attentive. I was quite happy with their service. Anyway, the cold noodle was alright, but nothing fantastic about it too. It was quite different from those i have in Korean. The taste was quite plain. The portion is quite huge and i couldn’t finish it.Overall, i will only be back in future for their Korean bbq. continue reading

The restaurant may have been around for a while and surprisingly the standards are improving. It's a little odd as the waiters aren't korean and there are actually malay and indian waiters in the korean restaurant, which I found a little out of place at first--but they are familiar with the dishes offered! They have recently changed the menu so there's no more "it's out of stock" and "not offered anymore" stickers on the menu.Banchan with the BBQ grillThough the meats aren't cheap, you can request for salad.seafood panjeon was served hot and was filled with squid and the likes of similar seafoodSweet watermelon cut in the shape of a heart for dessert. Nice ending to an authentic korean meal.Their panjeon was improved in terms of the quantity and the 'not-so-greasiness'. I would recommend to order their oxtail soup and beef short ribs (not pictured). Both bowls arrived promptly and was filled with meat. There's glass noodles inside and it's served with rice. Very hearty for the stomach, especially if you're down with a cold. continue reading

Met up with the girl friends for some quality time They decide try out this Korean Restaurant. However since it was a weekend, there's the crowd and we had to wait for a seat for about 10 mins plus Lucky we were offered waiting area seats.Point to improve would be that the waitress should offer us the menu while we were waiting, i have to ask for it myself! We ordered the set for 2-3 persons. It was quite a lot, we were super full!!!All orders come with the side dishes (8 dishes) Our meal consists of the ginseng chicken soup, beef bibimbap plus chicken and beef hotplate slices The ginseng chicken soup was quite watery that day, the beef bibimbap is very tasty and the chicken and beef hotplate slices are very good to wrap along with the lettuce We had cute watermelon in heart shape slices to round up the fabulous fulfilling meal, great way to end the weekend! continue reading

I have always wanted to pay this Korean restaurant located on the first floor of Far East Plaza a visit, but the prices were something that always stopped. Recently I found out that they actually quite affordable lunch specials so I immediately went for it!Like most Korean restaurants, Korean side dishes is a must. I guess you can say that they are quite generous with their side dishes, with a decent variety as well.My favourite of the side dishes is definitely the bean spouts. I have a irrational weakness for Korean bean spouts which is quite surprising cos I hate the one we usually have locally. The Spinach, ikan bilis and Kimchi are nice too. Not too fond of the rest.Between me and my friend, we ordered 2 sets to share, which are the Seafood Bean Paste Soup & the Pork Bulgogi Hot Plate set.Seafood Bean Paste Soup ($12.80++)I love Korean Bean Paste soup so this is usually a must-order for me. I think the soup here is great, not too salty with just enough spiciness and tons of ingredients in it. I would order this again.Pork Bulgogi Hot Plate ($12.80++)Their Pork Bulgogi Hot Plate is average for me. The pork pieces are just the right sizes, cooked to the right texture and chewiness. Would recommend to people who likes Korean Bulgogi..Overall, the service here is great and the staffs are attentive to what you need. Their A la Carte is on the slightly expensive side but their lunch specials are really affordable at $12.80 per set. They also provide these cute little wet towels to clean your hands with when you are done with your meal! continue reading

After meeting up with friends, we decided to come to this korean restaurant to have our lunch. There are several food that who ordered which includes the famous seafood pancake, kimchi noodle and many more. Firstly, the seafood pancake is made up of a mixture of egg, slices of vegetable probably chives, octopus and prawn. As for the taste wise, I think that it is similar to those normal chinese stir fried egg, well seasoned and the thickness is acceptable not too thin. As for the kimchi noodle, the presentation look very appealing with several chives and shitake mushroom on it. The soup has a rich taste and nice aroma of the kimchi, the noodle is well cooked and has a QQ texture. continue reading
