The crew was relatively friendly, calling out greetings when we entered. We selected a booth seat and then set about ordering some stuff while waiting for the client / friend.*Alloy had the Apple Crumble (SGD$6.50) - a soft but taut, pie-like crust instead of the flakey, crumbly crust we were expecting. Even the fillings were sticky, with bits of apples and raisins. Overall taste was not bad, not too sweet tinged with sour overtures, but we really thought that the term "Apple Pie" would have been more befitting.I had the Strawberry Shortcake (SGD$7.00) - served to me in a sleeping form. For that price, it was rather small. The cake was soft but coarse, with flavor that you could find in any other neighborhood bakery. It was disappointing, and I wondered if I should have ordered one of the cheesecakes on display instead. To make things worse, my Iced Earl Grey Tea Latte (SGD$7.00) tasted like very diluted latte, with the barest hint of earl grey. I guess the photo depicting the thin veil of drinks herein speaks for itself - I was practically drinking latte-flavored water. For full review and more photographs, please feel free to visit:http://thearcticstar.blogspot.sg/2014/12/tea-break-at-cafe-crema-westgate.html continue reading

This second outlet of the cafe is located at the first level of the shopping mall. The first outlet is located in Garden by The Bay. One has to order and pays at the counter, before getting a number tag. Food will be sent to your table. There is both non air-con and air-con dine in area. The non air-con area looks much prettier as it is surrounded by green plants around. But could be a bit hot with the sun shining on you.Quattro Funghi Pasta ($13.00)Penne with Button, Shiitake, Portobello and Shimeji mushrooms, with fresh creamThe pasta dish smells cheesy, but the taste is average.Roasted Almond Latte ($6.50)It tastes light and is more on the sweet side. It is served with a crispy and sweet biscuit.Overall the food is not bad and served quite fast. But the clearing of tables is a bit slow as I could see a number of uncleared tables. The place is quite relaxing. continue reading

Cafe latte $5.50The cafe latte had a smooth and slightly velvety and wet foam texture. The latte art was simple and neat. Sometimes they have a weekday promotion where you buy 1 drink and get the next drink at 50% off. The cafe latte was also sweet by itself so there was no need to add any added sugar. It is a great place to chill and relax during weekdays afternoon as there are not many people around so it is not noisy too. It has a nice environment too but limited sofa seats. Service speed is average although there aren't many people there. continue reading

Living in the West, I am really happy that to see an alternative place for coffee and reading besides the too-commercialized Starbucks and Coffee Bean. In addition, I am overjoyed that Cafe Crema is able to deliver good coffee within a good environment as well With a minimalist design of its interior, the place gives a fresh comfortable impression upon entering. Besides coffee, the place offers tea, sandwiches, cakes and pastries as well.Ordered the Iced Almond Latte ($6.50) and Iced Mocha Latte ($6.50). The former had just the right level of Almond syrup which added a pleasant distinct almond taste yet was not overly sweet. The latter, on the other hand, was a good blend of coffee and chocolate syrup as well. I was really satisfied with the coffee.Didn't try anything else but my pleasant first-time experience here would definitely bring me back here again Can't wait to try on the other items!^^ continue reading

Had went to this café to have a short break after a long shopping walk here. Had tried their signature snack which is their apple pie and also their fresh brewed coffee. Apple pie has very crunchy buttery flavour crust which is delicious and goes very well with the fresh crunchy apple cubes and apple sauce filling inside. The fresh brewed coffee is thick in the flavour and taste great on its own without any sugar or milk. Service here is friendly and polite. Environment is spacious and very clean too. For merely around $10 to have both the items together, is great! continue reading
