My loved one graduated, so we went to this restaurant for celebration, visited the place on a Saturday night, and while my loved one and I were the only patrons when we sat down, the place filled up at an amazing rate not long after. We were pleasantly surprised, that tucked in the corner of this quiet estate was a place with great ambience and excellent food!!The meats (both the beef and the pork) are fresh and succulent and quite decently priced. It was really fantastic.Overall, the price was a little steep for causal dinning but the quality of food was certainly worth the price! I do think this place is worth a visit. continue reading

A great place to go for good food with friends. Service: Kitchen service was really slow, though wait staff service was polite and quick. Our food took forever to arrive, and arrived staggered. Waters came quick, bread refills came quick, but needed to prompt for refills. In all, I wished they had more variety, like more seafood, poultry, pasta, burgers, sandwiches, etc. Their kitchen standards have much to improve upon. But the wait crew was great (considering their limitations). continue reading

Located at the neighbourhood in Sunset Way, Grill Out is a hidden good place that many people might miss out. This place serve good meat, and .. more meat! On my first visit to Grill Out, I ordered their Grill-in specials (set meal), simple! The set ($18++) comes with soup of the day and a dessert. For mains, you will have quite a few options to choose from. The meal started with the complimentary bun served with butter. Slightly toasted. The soup of the day is mushroom soup. Nothing too special about it though. As for mains, I had the Pork pattie (200gm). Awesome! It's well-seasoned and juicy! It's nice to eat the pattie like that without burger bun. Satisfying! The US pork loin (200gm) is not bad too. The meat is tender, and cook perfectly. The crispy wedges are tasty too. The dessert of the day is chocolate cake, with strawberry mousse layer. The thick layer of chocolate on top is satisfying, but I don't really enjoy the strawberry mousse, slightly too sweet for me. continue reading

A friend of mine had recommended that we try the Steaks at Grill out, so on sunday evening we decided to go there. We had to take a bus from Clementi MRT station, and as we were going,we were wondering, why is the restaurant located in a secluded area. But once we reached there, we were surprised to see that there were a bunch of good restaurants in an HDB set up,the whole level 1 had restaurants serving different cuisines & all along side each other. We finally managed to find Grill- out. We were very impressed with the ambience. It had a sit out arrangement with easy chairs, dim lights, Red seemed to be the colour of the place, and there were chimes around, making a very soothing sound and it created a perfect ambience for a chilled out weekend meal. We ordered for Pork spare ribs & Sirlion beef steak, they were served with mushroom soup & bread/butter. The soup was good. We simply loved the Pork spare ribs and decided to get messy & use our hands to eat it, it was rightly grilled, it was juicy, had the right sauces & was really delicious. The Sirlion beef steak was served with pepper sauce and was well cooked & juicy too. We had a pitcher of beer which made our experience more enjoyable. The portions were good. Finally we were given wet tissues to wipe our messy hands after chewing onto the tender, juicy & tasty meats :-). continue reading

There was this promotion on an e-coupon website (http://www.alldealsasia.com/) and that caught our attention. It was a voucher for the set course at 40% off. The set course came with a Soup of The Day w/ bread and butter, a main course to choose from the options and a glass of mock tail. However there were some terms and conditions, one of which we had to arrive before 7pm. Available all 7 days week.It took us some time to get there as we were unfamiliar with this area of the west side. Upon arrival, we liked the concept of the restaurant being in a hdb area, void deck. Along side, there were other cuisine restaurants as well. The service was impeccable, the staff (a friendly and fatherly guy) made it a point to explain more of the dishes and refilled our water constantly. At the end of our meal, he also asked how was the food and if they needed improvement in any area. The daily soup was mushroom which was pretty alright, not too much to my liking but my bf loved it. I had the sirloin steak while he had the grilled pork chop. The servings were generous, I couldn't finish mine but passed the rest to my bf. The steak was grilled perfectly, juicy, succulent and tender.. I guess the same applied to the pork chop. I'm not a fan of mock tails but i guess it was okay too. continue reading
