Craving stroke across my mind, I took a rest and sat down to enjoy a bowl of Cheng Teng from dessert stall. A queue was there when I was there, it cleared fast due to quick reaction by staff. Freshly mixed and matched ingredients on the spot, flexible requirement was acceptable.Common dessert which can be found at almost all the hawker or foodcourts, I opted for hot version. Sweet soup here was excellent, clearly decent and straightforward tasty. Wide array of ingredients were given, bowl was filled up generously. Longan’s flavour burst out, fragrant was maximum yet just nice for my liking. Red Dates, White Fungus, Gingko Nuts and assorted cubes were chewy aromatic, overall was perfect. Savoury and light broth to quenched my thirsty, it was appealing as well as let me have a sweet tooth. Inexpensive at $2.20, I get extra 10% discount as I have Kopitiam member card.

Ice jelly with soursop $2.70This dessert was quite yummy. The taste was quite sour due to the lime and soursop but the end result was a wonderfully refreshing taste. It was a nice dessert to complement the meal. The soursop texture was smooth too. If you have the number, you should try out the other desserts too.

The fruits, drinks and dessert stall is still located at the corner facing the main walking passage of Basement 1 even after a period of renovation in the food court Cantine, which was previously known as Banquet.Enjoyed my bowl of chilled bowl of Cheng Tng after dinner. The ice was fine and melts instantly once being placed into my mouth. Sweetness was moderate and the basic ingredients of Cheng Tng was fulfilled with dried longans, red dates and jelly. It was so soothing to the body after having them. Cost: $2.20The coconut seems alittle overdose here but the bowl of Bubur Terigu just cant go without them. Having the plain Bubur Terigu was a little too sweet for us but by mixing them with the coconut milk would have lessen the sweetness. It was warm and stomach filling. A very good alternative Cost: $2.20
