This local dessert stall carries the basic range of local desserts like Number One Chendol ($2.80), Esplanade Bobo Chacha ($2.80), Cheng Ting ($2.00), and the standard Ice Kachang ($2.00). Not much range, but they made up for it with variety. For example, their Ice Kachang also comes with additional topping flavours such as Durian Ice Kachang, Mango Ice Kachang, Sarsi Ice Kachang and Peanut & Sweet Corn Ice Kachang for $2.70. If you purchase food above $3.50 at any participating stall at Bagus, you can choose to buy either the Mango or Durian Ice Kachang for only $1.80.Mango Ice Kachang/ Durian Ice Kachang ($2.70) As we were having our dinner here and our orders were above $3.50, we managed to buy the Mango Ice Kachang and Durian Ice Kachang for only $1.80 each. The mango taste was rather weak although the durian version was stronger in taste and more pungent than the mango version. The two bowls of Ice Kachang were just the right amount of sweetness and there was a decent amount of red beans, attap seeds, and jelly at the base. We thought that this was actually quite filling on its own! This stall also sells a limited range of iced beverages like the Logan Drink, Lychee Drink and Sour Plum Lime. There are also Longan or Lychee Chin Chow Drink ($2.20). Lychee Drink ($2.20)The Lychee drink came with shaved ice with lychee at the bottom. The portion of lychee given was quite decent; there were about 6-7 lychee pieces compared to only 3 that we got from another stall elsewhere. These were quite sweet and fleshy and the shaved ice also had a tinge of lychee taste to it. This chilled drink was certainly very refreshing to have, especially on a hot day!Sour Plum Lime ($2.20)This was quite sour and perky, with a strong lime flavour. There were three pieces of sour plums in it. It was especially awesome to suck or eat a piece of plum and then take a sip of the lime juice and shaved ice, which made it even more potently sour, zesty, and yet still so refreshing! Currently my favourite drink from this stall! Overall, both the drinks and desserts here were not bad. I personally prefer to get my drinks here instead of the Drinks stall. Their iced drinks like the Lychee and Sour Plum Lime are quite refreshing and worth a try. The Sour Plum Lime was especially good and I'd recommend this if you like a drink that is refreshingly tangy and sour! continue reading
