Introduction
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has grown into one of the largest privately-owned, family-run coffee and tea companies in the world. Along the way, The Bean, as it is affectionately known, has become the model for a successful coffee and tea company. The coffee is roasted fresh daily in small batches in a manual European roast style, then packed using state-of-the-art equipment for shipment in the roasting facility and delivered fresh daily to the stores. continue reading

I grew up in an environment where everyone drinks coffee in the morning. I used to dip bread into coffee and ate it for breakfast when I was young! Strangely as I grow up, the smell of coffee puts me off not to mention the taste of it.. One would wonder why for someone who dislikes coffee, I actually hang out at Coffee Bean so often!!!I love it for the simple reason - Ice Blended Sunrise and Chicago Cheesecake! After a walk with the dog at East Coast, this is a great place to chill.. and a cold drink and dessert is the way to relax by the beach. continue reading

As far as I know this is the only Coffee Bean in Singapore which has a Sea View. It has 3 seating sections. The back of the store faces the East Coast Beach in a covered seating area. The front of the store has tables and chairs. If you want Air-con comfort, you can sit inside the store. The place is not very crowded on normal week day. It also has free internet access .The cakes are value for money as it is quite a big slice and the quality is good for around $5+. You can easily share it with another person. I love the Carrot cake which is not too sweet with enough cheese frosting. My favourite drink is the Ice Blend Green Tea with Cream . It has a strong Matcha taste and creamy. This is also one of the Pick up Point for Online order. They have some very nice 3D design cake such as Handbags, Castle, Ship, Longevity Peach etc. The cake comes in 5 different bases for you to pick. They are Banana, Chocolate Butter, Chocolate Chip Walnut, Marble, and Orange Fruit Cake. I have ordered the cakes over the years and it taste good too. Check it out at http://www.coffeebean.com.sg/coffeebean/showcat.cfm?mcat=1. If you are throwing a party, order the party pack which comes in 20 pieces in a box. Prices Range from $21 for Mini Muffins Madness to $31 for Durian Puffs. I recommend Deluxe Canapé Sampler; which consist of savoury cheese mousse and smoked salmon, mini ciabatta with salmon cheese and grapes, tuna mayo in puff pastry and light egg mayo. The taste is good and would have been better if it is serve hot. During X'mas time, the X’mas Party pack which has mini Linzer cake, stollen and fruit cake is a good choice. continue reading

This is like the 4th time I am having the Thousand Leaves chocolate cake this week! It's just so rich and addictive.I love the coffee bean. They are so unique and cosy and original. They serve their coffee in "bowls"! Which other store does that? It is so clever because it helps the coffee cool faster and also it's so warming to cup the "bowl" in your hands and breathe in the coffee aroma. Fresh brewed coffee! Mmmmm heaven!I really love their coffees and I think it's the best in the entire country. Just the normal coffee. Not talking about any specialty stuff.Couches are great to sink into and relax and imagine you're somewhere else.Service is nothing to commend. Skip.Recommended for the coffee! It makes me so happy! continue reading
