I come here very often for the Japanese food and also for this ice-cream, even though the ice cream cone failed but i still love their ice cream. My all time favourite was their strawberry, but I decided to try other flavour. This time I had sorbet and chocolate mint. The previous I came, I wanted mixed sorbet but the staff told me that sorbet can't be served with cone, but this time don't know why they said can Sorbet tends to melt fast but feel refreshing after having it. The chocolate mint was sweet and minty, not bad. Will come back to try more flavours! continue reading

Took away a Lemon Meringue tart when i walked pass the shop one evening as i was craving for some sweets. The tart was really a steal at $3.80, which is definitely cheaper than many other shops. This Lemon Meringue tart has a tangy lemon curd centre well-balanced with the lightly torched sweet meringue on top. The pieces of sugared lemon peels adds on to the pleasure on the tastebud. Furthermore, even though i had it the day after i bought, the tart remains crunchy. It is not those buttery tart base but more of those light sweet tart which i find compliment really well with the main star, the lemon curd meringue. I really enjoyed this a lot. Even though Haato is more famous for their ice-creams, their cakes and pastries are really good too. I recommend them to everyone for your after meal dessert, even if u r really full because they are really light and the portion is just right that you feel satisfied, but will not fill you up. continue reading

This is one of my favourite brownies that i have ever tried from various cafes and restaurants. This version here is much more thicker on the chocolate flavour and the texture is very moist, compact and chewy. The dark chocolate used in this brownies is also very fragrant and slightly towards the bitter version. The added crunchy walnuts on top of the brownies also enhance the taste of this yummy snack too. continue reading

I tried Haato's ice cream at Clarke Quay one afternoon and fell in love with it. I had 2 flavours: cookies and cream and Yuzu Sorbet. While the cookies and cream was pretty standard, the yuzu sorbet was light and refreshing. It wasn't too sweet nor was it too sour. The outlet has a seating area with a decent view. 2 scoops of ice cream costs $5 which is quite reasonable in my opinion. The store offers waffles and a whole range of gelato ice creams. Prices are inclusive of GST and there is no service charge. continue reading

So its my long awaited weekend after my 4th week of internship. I met up with my boyfriend for lunch and then got a call from my classmate to go the the Aliance Francaise Singapore to support one of my classmates getting his french award. So we went to Newton. We sat there and even had our french dinner buffet before we head to Clare Quay for our desserts! We went to Haato & Co. because its recommended by one of our friend. We chilled and ordered our desserts. So we ordered this chocolate waffle with marshmallow. I must said that the ice-cream was easily melt. The waffle was nice and sweet comes with the marshmallow. It costs only $8.50. continue reading
