i think i love provence bread so much that whenever i pass by their outlets i will get something to munch on. other than the milk pan, the sesame pizza is my favourite. although there is no ham or bacon inside, just veggie and cheese, i think it just taste so nice and may be even better than the real pizza continue reading

I am really glad that Provence has expanded. Back then, the only place to go to satisfy my craving for its bread is at Holland V. This outlet is a smaller branch - there are only limited varieties of the breads. However, its signatures like the wassants, milk pan and the brazilian cheese breads are available. I was actually looking out for the walnut bread, but apparantly, Petite Provence does not carry it. Hence, I settled for the Milk Pan bread. I really liked how soft the bread it and how it is slightly chewy. The bread encloses a milky filling. It tasted like cream but has the consistency of a custard. Delicious! continue reading

I love Provence because it's a Japanese bakery and Japanese bakeries are good at what they do. Their breads are usually fresh, fluffy and soft with delicious fillings inside, be it a sweet milk custard or savory cheese or just simply plain, they are still good.Petit Provence is the smaller version chain of Provence, normally just a kiosk, for customers to buy and have it to-go. I had a Milk Pan as my afternoon snack today. It was cotton-soft and it seemed like the dough just melted in my mouth, the sweet milk custard filling inside made it all even better than it already is.It looks like a cupcake bread on the outside, costing only $.150. A must-try for everyone. continue reading

This is the first stall of Provence I was introduced to and how good it is when the famous custard and chocolate rolls is just freshly out of the oven.Well truthfully, whether people are just totally engrossed by the advertisement that it's so so good, I find it rather normal - i dont' taste the chocolate at all. Sure it is great when its out of the oven, its still soft and warm, just nice in your mouth, but really, I don't taste any chocolate nor custard, as you can see the line of the filling is so thiiiiiiiiiiiin. It's expensive , 60c a piece, for a ridiculous small bread. Bread has the biggest turnover, making it from such a small piece of dough, to puff up. So imagine this small rolls are like thumb size which only costs like probably 5c to make. But really, any custard roll lovers care to enlighten me, esp. after four leaves, breadtalk start copying the bread too.Instead, I like provence's dry cheese bread, which i forgot the name. Now that's unique and super nice! continue reading
