As I live in siglap area, I drive past this place almost all the time, one fine night I brought my friends over here to check it out. This place ambience is filled with Greek and Roman figurines. We ordered Oreo Cheese Cake ,BlueBerry Cheesecake , Tiramisu (Mascarpone cheese)The creamy cheese cake polkadotted with cookies coated with an entire layer of oreo cookie crumbs that gives this cake a lovely texture of smooth yet jagged crumbly effect. Mouthwatering and temptation-resistance paralyzing creamy sweetness.Blue Berry Cheesecake is the same type of cheese used which has the similar pure velvety texture layered with preserved sweet blueberry topping. The base of this cake is crumbly and buttery.Tiramisu however , coffee liquor infused mascarpone cheese is much lighter in terms of texture and there are layers of moist sponge in between , dustcoated with bitter cocoa powder. So people who like “lighter” cakes for dessert should try this instead. continue reading

This cafe serves a wide variety of cheesecake as per the name suggest, among all the different cheesecake, I ordered the peach jelly cheesecake as it had a unique name and wanted to try out the flavor. When the cake came, I put one small piece into my mouth and was surprised by the taste. The jelly contained cheese and the overall taste of the cake was funny and not to my liking. Moreover, the price was expensive with the cakes ranging from around $7-$8 plus. continue reading

Heard quite a bit about this cafe and finally got a chance to patronise one afternoon. Located along East Coast Road, The Cheesecake Cafe, as its name suggests, primarily sells cheesecakes in a stunning Victorian interior which boasts a miniature cascading waterfall, roman pillars and plush sofas.Peanut Butter Cheesecake - I personally like this the best as it was light and fluffy with a rather heavy hint of peanut butter. The cake could have been a little more compact though, coming across as rather soft at times.Peach Jelly Cheesecake - This one was a little weird as the layer of peach jelly was a little too rubbery for my liking. I probably just can't get used to eating cheesecake with a layer of jelly like substance in between. However I must say that it was a rather interesting slice of cake.Rum & Raisin Cheesecake - The rum and raisin rendition didn't impress me much as the alcoholic taste was a tad too strong for my liking. All in all, a very nice place to hang out and have some cheesecakes, especially if you get seats inside. Prices are a tad steep though but service is very decent. continue reading
