Cheap and good meal for dinner, lots of variety set menu available. The set menu of $5.90 and above, includes unlimited hot tea and a dessert bowl of delicious white fungus. A cold can of birdnest cost only $1.40, I think it cost cheaper than any coffeeshop price. We also ordered side dishes which are all my favourites - spinach tofu, pak choy, dumplings. Our main meals ordered are :Shark fin soup n beansprout - Tasty soup with fish mawAbalone noodles - Very filling, very delicious and appetizing if u add their chilli shrimp pasteSalmon fish - Not to my liking in the way iis done, steamed instead of grilled. very generous portion covered with egg. continue reading

Bought this deal for Rabbit Brand Seafood Delicacies at Boat Quay from Groupon - $7.50 for $15 worth voucher. And we got what you see in the picture for just $8.75, each pax paid less than $5.The food here was really cheap, coupled with the coupon we got, it was a steal! In case it's not clear, we got each a soup, a dessert and rice with chicken,Chinese sausage, baby abalone, scallop & mushroom. In addition, we shared a spinach tofu and shisamo side dishes, and there was free flow of tea too. A very satisfying lunch indeed! continue reading

This place is not upmarket but boasts of seafood delicacies in the realm of sharksfin and abalone. Most foods in their menu are on the healthier side. and you get to choose a main varying from the usual rice to rice noodles, abalone noodles to udon. I personally liked their xo sauce Nothing much to comment on their service. Not GEM style but reasonably polite. Each set meal comes with a chinese tea and chinese dessert of the day. I had chng teng for mine this time round. continue reading

I bought 3 Rabbit Brand Seafood Delicacies cash vouchers from Groupon and I went there with my boyfriend for dinner. Our order came super fast, I supposed the pre-cooked their food and then heat them up. Their food simply taste awful, the abalone had weird smell and tasted bad. My shark fin with crab meat rice tasted fishy, and our snow fungus dessert was actually sugar water with almost no fungus! Never will I go there again. continue reading

Where can you find a abalone set meal which cost only $12.50+ ?There is a Groupon deal, $7.50 for $15 Worth of Chinese Fare at Rabbit Brand Seafood at Circular Road, which worked out to be a 50% discount to this already cheap Chinese food fare. Super value for money!More review and photos at my blog http://monsoontravel.blogspot.com/2012/04/cheap-abalone-and-sharks-finsrabbit.html.In this inconspicuous tiny restaurant decked right at the end of the Circular Road, they offer nice and value for money Chinese set menu starting from $5.50. Each of the set menu will have at least one delicacy in the menu - abalone, sharks' fin, scallop, sea-cucumber or fish-maws.Braised Whole Abalone with Special Make Spinach Beancurd Set We ordered the most expensive set on the menu, which is only $12.50+. The set come with rice, Chinese tea and a dessert that is like Cheng-Teng. Although the abalone was a bit small it is still a whole abalone and quite rich in flavour. The Spinach beancurd was what I liked most, crispy fried with soft inner beancurd, providing different textures and accompanied with the fragrant spinach taste. Simply yummy! Buddha Jump Over The WallThe other popular set is this All-in-One "soup", Buddha Jump Over The Wall @$6.50, which is one of the most luxurious dish of Chinese food. All the mini delicacies - abalone, fish maw, dried scallop and shark's fins are added together and simmered to give a rich broth. Nice to go with the white rice. A small plate of bean sprout also came with the set. continue reading
