The black-and-white floors, distinctive red telephone booth, the signature Union Jack, famous Teddy and Mr. Bean's photos filled this cafe up and brought back fond memories when we were still watching Mr. Bean's comedy series. He was so funny, and oh, the cafe actually airs his shows on a TV screen located behind the counter. The Tea Latte (SGD$6.20) came first. It was all teabag and milky foam; the taste of the "tea" was nowhere to be detected. The entire drink tasted like milk foam from start to finish; it got a little sick after a while, reminding me of drinking milk powder in my younger days. The only redeeming factor was the cute mug it was served in.I also asked for a slice of Beantastic Mille Crepe Cake (SGD$8.80), simply because of the dazzling chocolate-rice coating and rainbow-coloured layers, looking so inviting. The texture of the mille-crepe was good - soft, melty, giving Lady M a run for her money. The aesthetics was so appealing, and flavours was good too, hints of sweetness and minty (I believe that came from the green layers), very refreshing. However, amidst the luscious taste, there was a rather heavy sour taste. At first I thought it was the orange and yellow layers - citrusy, tarty, perhaps? Or could it be they were using yogurt cream? But as I took more bites, I realised it was not right - it was very likely that the light cream has turned sour - a very slight rancid hint. For full review  and more detailed information, please feel free to check out:http://thearcticstar.blogspot.sg/2015/08/afternoon-tea-at-teddy-me-cafe-marina.html continue reading

Introduced into the cafe world exactly a year ago with their first outlet at Marina Square, Teddy & Me Cafe now has two more at Plaza Singapura and Changi Airport Terminal 3. This novelty themed cafe is a perfect spot to chillax for fans of Mr Bean. Snacks, brunch, desserts, cakes and pastries are available here.Among the cakes, Mille-Crepe seems to be their hot seller, based on my observation. Having said that, we didn't order it.This was what we ordered, Waffles and Ice Cream! $15 for 3 scoops. BUT total DISAPPOINTMENT.The plus point for this outlet of Teddy & Me will be the study tables and power plugs. Customers can also surf the internet with iPads provided at each table, and charge their phones at the counter too (mentioned online, but didn't manage to find any). A good initiative, but probably not going to revisit anytime soon.Full review at http://lepakwithyaops.com/teddy-me-cafe-coffee-snacks-with-mr-bean continue reading

Located right in front of the information counter at Marina Square, is Teddy&Me.The ice cream display is what greets you at the front entrance, with tons of flavours. We tried a few flavours and decided on black sesame and tutti fruitti. They had a variety of mille crepes and I was hoping to try their rainbow mille crepe, but they didn't have any that day. I guess I will have to come back another time.Tons of cute Mr Bean's teddy everywhere! This is one cafe that is super family friendly.1. Green Tea Mille Crepe $8++The fun part about Teddy&Me is the ipad, you get to watch all your favourite Mr Bean movies, although the menu is on the ipad, you cannot order from there. For the green tea mille crepe, I found it abit hard to slice though. Most of the time, my friend would hold down the cake with her fork whilst I try to swipe a small slice. Definitely not my forte, trying to cut this mille crepe up. I did like that there were red bean in between the crepes.2. Taro Mille Crepe $8++I found this very articially tasting, it was sweet but the yam taste was too strong and I did not like it. I preferred the green tea one better. I do like that they make the effort to decorate the teddy bear on the place. It is cute3. Waffles with Tutti Frutti and Black Sesame Ice cream $11.80++I enjoyed the tutti fruiti as it had dried fruits in there, more like a christmas fruit cake. The black sesame ice cream was really good too, with whole black sesame seed in there. The waffle wasn't crispy or fluffy, it was just plain hard. It was the worst waffle I had eaten, at first bite, but after awhile I grew to like it, probably because the yummy icecream had melted and spread itself all around the waffle.4. Strawberry Tango Smoothie (Regular) $7.20++Very sweet and refreshing drink, although I can definitely taste a strong amount of artificial syrup in here. It did take awhile for the frozen bits of the drink to melt, so that I could drink it. But I did like the drink. The bill, but we had used $11.90 for $20 deal.com.sg vouchers, so it was very reasonable. Definitely enjoyed the food and ambience here. continue reading

For more reviews, please visit www.umakemehungry.comFans of Rowan Atkinson, actor of the British comedy Series Mr Bean is now able to enjoy snacks and beverages at Marina Square's Teddy & Me, a themed cafe conceptualized after Mr Bean and his favourite bear. And just right above the cupboard at the entrance, we are greeted a warm welcome by his Teddy which has its head pops out of the suitcase! And with just a few steps into the cafe, there is this Gigantic red British Telephone Booth, also with his teddy hanging at the door, making up part of its theme. With its theme revolving around Mr Bean and his teddy, every menu has been chained to its little bear. The 4 pages menu was colorful offering light snacks, desserts as well as beverages.Apart from enjoying the food and its themed environment, customers can also surf the internet with iPads provided at each table or even charge their phones at the counter too. What's more the series of his comedies are available in the devices too. With numerous displays at different spots in the cafe, it does work out like a mini Mr Bean Museum with collectables and his displays. "selfies" or even "wefies" are often seen taken. It is rather narrow in the cafe and moving about the aisles isnt a simple task, do be careful when taking pictures.Well crafted in delicate thin layers with light fresh cream sandwich between them. The taste was refreshing at a perfect sweetness with chocolate rice and stars topped the rainbow cake. The presentation is such a charm! Really "Beantastic" and irresistible! Rich in chocolate and cream, this cup of ice blended beverage is definitely a cooler to the soaring sunny day.We wanted to have a taste of its ice cream so we ordered its mini waffle with a choice of the ice cream. Sweet Corn Caramel blends in well the thick and fluffy mini waffle with a British flag featuring Mr Bean face piercing through the dessert.Simply love its decor as it sure induces some fond memories of the childhood. It is also a good spot to replay the comedies and watch them on the comfortable couches. However, due to such cosy and tech gadgets equipped environment, customers tend to occupy the seats a little longer even after they are done up with their snacking thus leaving incoming diners waiting in the queue. This place is recommended for families, couples and groups who wants to relax and get some inspiration over such ambiance. continue reading

Basically in a nutshell, the place looks cute and all but the food isn't really good. Had my usual Mocha, nothing fantastic but it was good. By the way, this is large and it's $6.50 I think. I can't recall but yeah, the small one is really small. Hahahaha. We intended to chill and relax so we got the bigger one. I did not try the mains but the desserts weren't fantastic. This pretty crepe is pretty good. But a little slice like this cost you $8.50 (I think) which I think is on the high side. Service was kinda slow too and plus the waffle was extremely hard and not good. Well, the cake was passable but the price didn't really justify. You could come for experience but don't have high hopes alright.See all photos here http://www.pepperminter.com/2014/09/dessert-teddy-me-cafe.html continue reading
