Located near Kallang MRT, Jalan Sultan Prawn Mee holds its reputation as one of the best stalls around with its legendary broth. Stewed with prawn shells and pork ribs, the natural sweetness and flavour of each component is extracted to a tee, and then served piping hot. The surviving outlet of Albert Street Prawn Noodle in Old Airport Road Food Centre serves up big succulent prawns (that de-shell easily) in a generous portion of soup for $5, with a spoonful of curry powder to add in. While you can definitely taste the sweetness of prawns as you slurp, note that the lack of saltiness in the broth might not please everyone.
