The well-loved heartland gastrobar has earned itself a good following of regulars since its opening a year ago

The rustic interior evokes a chic yet cosy atmosphere

Cheekiness evoked from every nook and cranny
Starting September, Coq & Balls rises earlier to provide you comfort fare for your lazy weekend mornings from 10am to 3pm, with an all-new weekend brunch menu alongside new breakfast pairing beers.
What’s to munch for brunch?

The Biq Coq
No brunch menu is complete without a signature breakfast special like The Big Coq ($16). It has got everything you could possibly want in an English breakfast platter, featuring crispy sour dough toast, mushrooms delightfully sautéed with herbs and silently infused with truffle oil, bacon baked beans, chorizo and grilled vine tomatoes and a house special serving of scrambled eggs – starring a dollop of crème fraîche for that added richness and texture.

Baked Eggs in a Pan

Goat Cheese Tart
If your source of calcium comes from nothing but cheese, the next two brunch entrees will draw you a cheesy grin. First up, we have Baked Eggs in a Pan ($15). Where’s the cheese in that, you ask? In every bite. The creamy eggs are baked with a ton of cheese with surprise chunks of potato, not missing that spoonful of crème fraîche on top.
The Goat Cheese Tart ($16) may overwhelm some but true cheese lovers would most probably enthuse at this crispy baked puff pastry stuffed with feta melted over creamy chunks of goat cheese, topped with a refreshing homemade salsa. By the way, did you know that goat cheese is safe for most people who are lactose intolerant?

Roasted Chicken Mango Salad

Baked Granola with Yogurt & Wild Forest Berries
Wait, were those options too heavy for your liking? Well, fret not! The Roasted Chicken Mango Salad ($14) should be a suitable option for any salad lover. Topped with grated Parmesan cheese and drizzled with a honey mustard dressing, the delightful combination promises a light meal that does not compromise on flavour. If your jaws need a morning workout, the Baked Granola with Yogurt & Wild Forest Berries ($12) would be a great crunch for brunch. Think baked rolled oats and nuts in honey with a heavenly mound of natural yogurt and wild forest berries. Swooning? Because we are.
Morning cheers for Breakfast Beers

Left: Fruili Strawberry Beer, Right: Stiegl Grapefruit Radler
Carrying over 30 different beers from around the globe, it is always beer-o-clock in this gastrobar and brunch doesn’t seem complete without specialty breakfast beers now does it? You’ll find the world’s best fruit beer Fruili Strawberry Beer and the Stiegl Grapefruit Radler, a gold medal winner at the Calgary International Beerfest, as sweet and refreshing accompaniments to your morning’s fuel for the day.
Note: A sweet selection of freshly baked fruit pies from Windowsill will also available be during the weekends.
