When I first heard about Kung Fu Paradise, a newly-opened café in Bedok Point, my initial thought was that it was a Chinese dining place (due to the word, kung fu). But it turned out that the café serves a mixture of Chinese and Western cuisine, which (I believe) is what most people conosider when they choose their dining places.
Arriving there on a lunch time, the place was just packed with old and young people, most of them talking and laughing out loud with their peers. Or maybe, they were just enjoying the food so much that they felt a bit too chatty. I was bound to find out as I settled in my seat and waited for the dishes that will be served.
It started out with their signature French Toast with Chicken Floss and Condensed Milk. I love floss on top of the toast, however, it was too heavy for a lunch meal. So, my advice to those who will order this is to have this for breakfast. I just ate a bit of this because there were still more dishes to come. And next up was the Flying Kung Fu Wings which was served really hot. The skin was crispy and I enjoyed taking it out of its meat and eating it. The meat, though, was a tad too salty for me. The balls on mash were also too salty for my palate!
As for the main dish, the Flaming Crab really put my tongue in flame! It was too hot spicy for my taste. I dowsed it down with their iced lemon tea which has this faint sweet scent.
