For this session, 10 OpenRicers were invited to dine at Yomenya Goemon and Pinocchio. Both located at Star Vista, these restaurants are known for their casual vibe as well as some darn good food and desserts!
For the exclusive tasting session, the OpenRicers got to try the following dishes:
- Fresh Nori, Shrimp & Clam Spaghetti
- Sausage, Bacon & Salami with Chilli Tomato Sauce
- Carbonara Meat Sauce with Onsen Egg
- Hokkaido Cheese Cream Soup Spaghetti with Scallop, Corn & Potato

During the tasting, OpenRicer Yvonne C. said that the “Fresh Nori, Shrimp, and Clam spaghetti was really great.” In a matter of seconds, she was able to finish the whole plate.
After the hearty dinner, the next stop was Pinocchio, a dessert place named after one of the Disney characters. Their signature desserts have got to be their wide range of colourful gelatos which are proudly displayed at the store front. From a distance these seem to entice all dessert lovers to step inside their store and try out these delectable offerings.
As for the OpenRicers, the desserts they got to try were the:
- Strawberry Yoghurt, Yoghurt de Fruitti, Forest Fruit.
- Cookies and cream, Dark Chocolate
- Pistachio, Melon, Vanilla
- Tiramisu, Choco Mint, Rum
- Mango, Cocktail, Green Apple

“I really think their ice cream has this really natural flavour especially with the fruit flavoured ones. But my taste generally leans on chocolate, so I can say I really enjoy the Dark Chocolate Ice Cream most,” commented OpenRicer Timothy S.
As for the cakes, they also saved space for the following:
- Oreo Cheesecake
- Black Forrest
- Nutella-Banana Crepe
- Pistacio Hazelnut Smoothie
- Mango Mouse

For the cakes and crepes selection, one hot favourite is the Black Forest cake. OpenRicer YC described it as, “Bits of berries that explodes rum in your mouth when you bite into them!”
