Brotzeit is a familiar name to anyone who frequents town - with multiple outlets at hotspots like Somerset 313 and Raffles City, it has firmly established itself as the German bar and restaurant. Since early June, the chain’s flagship store at VivoCity has reopened to lead their rebranding project with an airy, spacious interior and new set lunch menu.

Hailing from Korea, Beesket is Singapore’s newest kid on the block for a DIY juice bar. With 39 different fresh fruits and vegetables to choose from (and that’s almost 5000 combinations of juices one can create), Beesket is both a fun and creative way for everyone to satisfy any juice craving.
The first week of June saw the grand opening of Chuan Wang Ji in the Santa Grand Hotel along East Coast Road. The Sze Chuan restaurant promises to serve only the authentic and the best of its cuisine, so foodies with an inclination towards these fiery dishes can celebrate. How authentic, you ask? With one of its co-founders from Sze Chuan and another having lived in China for more than two decades, this is as authentic as it gets.
Tools of the Trade (ToTT) – the largest kitchenware and tableware retail store in Asia – has just launched its new 4,800 sqft store at Suntec City this June.

With its current contemporary interior with hardwood accents, one could never tell that Lighthouse Bistro’s ambience once resembled that of a Chinese dim-sum eatery with its orange-streaked walls and large round white tables. For the past 12 years, the dining establishment situated along Jellicoe Road has been serving mostly members of the Singapore Maritime Officers Union and just as its name suggests, seafarers – both local and foreign – have often frequented the eatery for a meal or two.
OpenRice members were invited to indulge in an array of handpicked dishes from Procacci’s Brunch Menu, which has 10 main dishes starting from $16++ and is available on Saturdays from 11.am to 2.30pm.
