waffles with ice-cream 2013-12-18 rachelays (1063 Review(s))
Ordered waffles with ice-cream for $9.10. The flavours I picked were chocolate and cookies and cream. The chocolate flavour was really rich and chocolate lovers will definitely love this as it was not sweet too. The taste of the cookies and cream was more skewed to the cream (vanilla) side and I find it average only. The texture of the ice-cream was very smooth but it melted at a faster-than-comfortable pace. The waffles were aromatic and were fluffy. Definitely worth a try!
We ordered the homemade waffle with horlicks tim tam and salted caramel. The price was rather affordable. It cost me and my friend $9.90 for that waffle meal which i think was quite worth it considering the service and environment of the store. But the bad thing was that it was hard to find the place as we took public transport there. There were many other interesting flavours too but we were too full to continue eating.

Located in the heart of Upper Thomson Rd where many cafes are as well, Salted Caramel offers a variety of unique ice cream flavors and I was spoilt for choice. As well as reasonable pricing w a nice place to chill w a cuppa.
We tried their homemade waffle ($3.50) served w 2 scoops of ice cream the first time and instantly got hooked on. We had Peppermint Brownie & Salted Caramel - just dope! The waffle is crispy on the outside and fluffy within, one of the place I would go for a waffle fix. I'm pretty excited to try the rest of the interesting ice cream flavors! I ordered a scoop of avocado ice cream and dined within the simple confines of salted caramel here. I noticed that metal spoons were available too, besides the plastic ones, so I took that instead - let's save the environment yah?
The avocado ice cream was good, as it's thick and creamy with an intense avocado taste to it. It's also not too sweet. Really nice, if you are a fan of avocado. I had a taste of my friend's chocolate stout, which was pretty good too. You can taste the alcohol in it mixed together with the chocolate.
A nice place to have a well-deserved dessert after a hot day.

we ordered the three scoop cup of ice cream ($7) which i felt was pretty affordable huh! the lovely artisan ice cream was smooth and creamy, and each flavour stood out distinctly. the earl grey carried a fragrant whiff of the leaf-y tea that was oh-so-soothing. the chocolate stout had a robust flavour of the alcohol, yet wasn't overwhelming. and the horlicks & tim tam ice cream was pure comfort food (: loved the chunks of tim tam in it!
the waffles here are also really good i heard! although i didn't try it when i went. but they smelled awesome!
