I went there to eat with family, but ended up getting to pay 30 plus. Quite expensive for a dinner for three people, so learn my lesson that while ordering, DO REMEMBER to indicate the number of pieces you want especially for the meat and the seafood items. cause when my dad order, they gave us more than what we thought will get. and to make things sadder, most of the food was either cold or just lukewarm, even the porridge that suppose to be hot was just lukewarm. only the fish paste thingy was acceptable since it is usually place in the hot porridge to cook, so its cold. Not really a nice experience that was looking for. As compared to the old place before it shifted to this location, the food standard was really better compared to now continue reading

Read about this porridge place somewhere on the internet and decided to give it a try since I was in that area. I am quite a fan of teochew porridge, and this wasn't the best i've tried, but there's a wide variety of dishes and it's pretty cheap. I had tofu, egg, fishcake, spinach, ikan bilis, and a slice of fish (didn't like the kiam chye sauce though, and fish was quite tough, the whole fish that I see people eating should be better), all for $10. Taste wise, I still prefer Soon Soon at kovan, but the price here is hard to beat. continue reading

Went to dine there for lunch with boyfriend. The parking there was surprisingly easy to get during lunch hours. The crowd was not really packed and could get ourselves seats quite fast. We ordered enough for 2 persons to share: luncheon meat, steam egg, bitter gourd and cauliflower vegetables and 2 rice. The meal costs $8 in total. The price is a bit expensive as compared with other mixed rice. The egg was nicely steamed and even contained some meat and salted egg. The cauliflower is not hard and very tasty. The luncheon meat and the bitter gourd tasted normal. The duck sauce used to mix with the rice is very nice! Must try! (: continue reading
