Prawn noodles with pig's tail for $5: The prawn noodles soup stock is rather yummy and flavourful, with the prawn taste that does not taste artificial The prawns are also fresh and the added ingredient's portion is reasonable. Recommended! continue reading

There are two famous prawn noodle stalls at Old Airport Road Market & Food Centre: Albert Street Prawn Noodle, with a long history that can be traced back to 1963, and Whitley Road Big Prawn Noodle, which we have just reviewed. Sadly, Albert Street’s only branch at Lavender Food Court has closed its shutters, along with the closure of the food centre recently. We went there over a weekend and the queue wasn’t that long. However, Albert Street Prawn Noodle seemed to have slightly more patrons than its counterpart Whitley Road Prawn Noodle. Does it mean Albert Street is better in quality and taste? We ordered the dry version prawn mee ($5) which came with a big bowl of soup with sliced prawns and pork ribs submerged in the stock.Albert Street Prawn Noodle served up a more generous portion of prawn mee as compared to Whitley Road Prawn Noodle, and the soup was tastier, though we still wouldn’t call it impressive. Looking at the many accolades displayed at the stall, we weren’t able to truly appreciate why – perhaps a case of faded glory? Please refer to www.ieatandeat.com for details review. continue reading

The FoodI ordered a bowl of prawn noodles with pork ribs. When I had my 1st mouthful of the soup, taste like subtle herbal taste which blends nicely with the rich and full essence of prawn shells and pork ribs and fully absorbed by the delicious yellow noodles very well. The tasty pork ribs are tender and fresh. The fresh prawns has sweet seafood flavour and easily de-shelled which makes eating very convenient. The PriceReasonably priced at $5 for decent portionOverallI will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try this! continue reading

I heard that this stall is very famous! When I went there, there was a queue for forming during lunch time. I ordered big prawn noodle and to my delight, the prawns given were fat and juicy. They were also very fresh and tender. I like them very much. The prawn soup were rich in flavour. The noodles used were those normal yellow noodles. They give me a quarter spoon of what appear to be spices added to my soup to enhance its flavour. I will certainly return to eat it again! continue reading

I happened to be in the vicinity of old airport road so decided to swing by and grab some food. you can find a lot of delicious food there. I decided to try out their prawn noodles there. The prawns there were fairly big and the meat was cooked perfectly, very succulent and juicy. The meat was not tough at all. The soup was very tasty, it was not too salty unlike some other prawn noodles stall. You can taste the sweetness of the prawns in the soup. It was really refreshing making you want to drink mouth after mouth. They use yellow noodles for the noodles, the yellow noodles were the normal quality ones which you eat outside, nothing spectacular about it. The portion was just right for me, very filling. continue reading
