Introduction
BOTAK JONES® was born out of the idea that everyone should have access to well-made food of all types. Seeing a lack of good, well-made western food in the industrial and heartland areas, the good people at BOTAK JONES® deemed it timely to carve a market niche and take the heartlands by storm. continue reading

botak jones has sold his company, and how does the food taste now? famous for its meat, i've decided to take a route less travelled by .. having fish.menu is really clean and sleek now. i had a memorable time with botak jone's elaborate menu previously.. where it felt like the menu was talking to me or something. now it's just a cold, laminated list of food items for me to select from.. not so interactive.didn't like the food offered this time because it's just a list. previously they had so much customization (that was years ago huh)i liked that the menu was well-designed though. anyway, went for a large fish n chips!the batter was really crispy and it tasted really shiok initially.however, the more i ate, the more weird the fish tastes. its not premium bay fish, i guess. very fishy smell. the fries is too darn hot like there was fire getting bigger and bigger on my tongue and it burns all the way down to the throat. the meal wasn't balanced at all — how disappointing.i loved how you don't have to pay for service charge but they serve the food to you (despite giving you a plate where it vibrates and rings loudly). pretty cool for a coffee shop concept these days. continue reading

I had botak jones for dinner, was surprised by the price increase since I last ate it, in my opinion I dun recall their food being so expensive, but since I was there, I went ahead and ordered the food. I ordered their Cajun chicken with buttered sweet corns and coslaw. When they served me the food, they got my sides mixed up and served fries and coslaw. The service staff brought my order back and came out with an extra portion of buttered corn, she also told me the fries were on the house since it was their mistake, so in the end, I ended up with 3 sides. My Cajun chicken was indeed a thick slab of meat. The meat was so juicy and tender. It was cooked perfectly to the extent you can see juice oozing out when you cut into it. They topped the meat with some brownish sauce and cheese. The cheese melted perfectly on the chicken. The coslaw was really good, very crunchy and the dressing was very refreshing. The corn was a disappointment cos it did not taste buttery at all and it was slightly overcooked. The fries on the other hand was awesome, every strip was coated perfectly with chilli powder, it was crispy and fragrant too. I paid $8.30 for all these. continue reading

We went to eat at botak jones again. This time i decided to have their fish and chips. The serving was big and was very full after eating it. The fish were generous as they gave a big piece. The fish does not have a thick batter which was really good. The outer layer was fried till crispy but not oily. The flesh was still soft tender and juicy despite being fried. You can also change your sides, just let them know and it can be done. continue reading

The cajun chicken was really good. Considered it's chicken breast but it was tender although it was thick. Food though was serve lukewarm and took ages to come. Everywhere I go, I'll tend to order dishes with salmon. Honestly, I didn't expect much from Botak Jones since this isn't exactly their signature dish, And I'm biased towards their seasoned fries too! Find them much nicer than normal fries. continue reading

Botak Jones brings quality food and service into the heartland areas where consumers can dress comfortably in their shorts and slipper and at the same time enjoy this authentic American food. Botak Jones started to get famous through word of mouth, when they first started, everyone was just talking about how fantastic Botak Jones food was. So much so that we gotta try it out ourselves.Recently, the craze has fazed off slightly but not totally so they have to come up with other forms of advertising, like tie-ups with major events - NDP and have their coupons inside, etc. I'm a very coupon person, so when I see a coupon, I will try to use it. To make up to $25 to enjoy the $5 off, we ordered their eggs and also extra add on off Shitake Mushroom. Botak Jones' Fish and Chip is my Favourite dish. Comes with the thick french fries with a special mix (not salts) sprinkled on top. It's a bit spicy and salty. The breading of the dory fish and tartar sauce is a great combinations! I enjoyed my fish and chips very much. However, my bf is disappointed with his salmon set. He said he ordered a large portion some more but when it was served, the salmon looks like medium size. It's almost double the price of my fish and chips! continue reading
