Of all the canele outlets, this is by far my favourite, because it is out of the way. Its not impossible to get here, but most people would opt for the more convenient outlets, which is why the crowd isn't that crazy here. I can at least hear the music & enjoy my book without getting distracted by unintentional evesdropping of the table beside me.
This time, I decided to give their tiramisu a go. The spongey bits soaked up the flavourful coffee syrup, and it was a perfect balance between being too soggy vs. being too dry. If you simply must get fabulously good cake, go to canele.
The other thing I love so much about canele is their macarons. I never fail to buy some home for the family, and their vibrant colours are too tempting to leave without getting any.
