I came upon this stall by chance while looking for a lunch destination. It is hidden amongst a row of shophouses along South Bridge Road, providing an air-conditioned hide out for a good meal. I was rather surprised that there were actually quite alot of people in this eatery, and the atmosphere was rather chatty and cheerful, unlike the old-fashioned exterior.Wanton MeeThis has got to be the most neat and presentable bowl of wanton mee I've ever tried. This has got to be the most neat and presentable bowl of wanton mee I've ever tried. Served with wanton, prawns and a whole stalk of vegetable, it's very different from the usual wanton mee served everywhere else. The sauce is also much thicker; the starchy kind. The prawns were fresh, the wanton and the rest of the dish was good, but I feel it that there is no depth to the texture. The ingredients were neither chewy nor soft, I feel it lacks the QQ factor, which is something I look out for in wanton mee. The sauce was also mediocre. Avocado pudding
I love this dessert. The chilled avocado cream was really soft and melty, and the caramel sauce enhanced the flavour and sweetness of the avocado. Just something awesome to counter the hot weather.
