After reading an article on Openrice about this roadhouse, we decide to meet here for our August Baby Celebration.. nice place that is located in Dempsey hill, a very quiet place and Sam told us that this Dempsey Hill used to be the former British military barracks that dates back to the 18th century... The restaurant has the modern American Diner concept and the food here mainly American styled food..Crispy Calamari rings $16, this is pretty normal, the calamari is not very crispy but is glad t
Crispy Calamari rings $16, this is pretty normal, the calamari is not very crispy but is glad the squid is fresh.. BBQ ribs $29, the ribs are well barbequed and well marinated but I find the meat a little dry and is quite filling.. however the onion ring were good and tasty. The coleslaw is nice, sweet and refreshing.. Theresa ordered the Japanese Prawn Star $24, a Beer battered chunky Prawn patty with Wasabi Mayonnaise. Theresa cannot finish this as she says this is too salty to finish.. Pauline had the Fabulous Foie Gras $32, she commented that this is a little salty and oily but still is delicious.. the pan seared Foie Gras is soft and creamy. EL and Jan shared this Bacon meatloaf $35, this is delicious, the bacon is tasty and the meat that is inside the bacon is juicy and well marinated.. We ordered this clam chowder too, nice, thick cream soup with clams in it and a bowl full of potato cubes, nice... We had a great evening, the atmosphere is nice and cosy. The staffs are very friendly and nice.. great place to hang out with friends....given the quantity of the food and service, we feel the price we paid is quite reasonable...
