Sakae Sushi has launched a new menu about 2 months ago so i decided to drop by for a quick lunch to have a look at what is in their menu now. They have introduced quite a number of new items but also kept quite a number of the more popular dishes from their old menu.

I ordered a Aburi Sushi Combo ($7.99) and a Saba Nitsuke ($8.99) to satisfy my love for fish. for the Aburi Sushi Combo, I was served with 4 seared sushi consisting of scallop, salmon, tuna and skipjack tuna topped with salmon roe. The skipjack tuna particularly leaves a deep impression on me as it was the thickest and most fishy among the four sushi. For a fish lover like me, i like it but for people who have lighter tastebuds, it might be hard to accept.

The Saba Nitsuke features a simmered mackerel in sweet sauce. The sweet sauce makes it very appetising and best paired with a bowl of rice.
